3rd POV
"Taehyung hurry up, they're here" one of the workers at the orphanage called out to the male who laid in his bed, listening to music through his earphones. Obviously, he didn't hear her as music was blasting through his ears at full volume.
"Taehyung?" she tried again but this time louder as she headed towards his room. No response. As she reached the door, she let out a giggle seeing the boy laid on his side, facing the opposite direction, phone in his hand as he wiggled his toes to the music that even she could hear. Slowly, she walked over to him and gently tapped his back, making the boy jump in surprise at the sudden touch. He quickly turned around with a scared expression which turned into a boxy smile as he saw the only person that has ever cared for him.
"Chan-mi!" yelled with a smile as he saw the twenty-five-year-old women in front of him. As fast as he could, he leaped up from his laying position and gave her a tight hug. She immediately hugged back but soon broke it with a deeply saddened face. Taehyung's faced changed into a look of confusion and worry.
"They're here" Chan-mi faked a happy smile as she went over and picked up the suitcase and bag, they had packed together the night before. Anyone could tell she was going to miss Taehyung very much except the boy himself, he was oblivious.
"Come now Taehyung. Its time to meet your new family" she said whilst giving Taehyung his bag.
He tried to be sad about the fact that he had to leave but he really wasn't. He hated the orphanage he lived in. No one liked him except Chan-mi, not even the staff. They made fun of the medication he had to take, which Chan-mi prescribed to him, saying that it's because hes crazy and unstable, well they were the main reasons, but there were many that they came up with over the years. They verbally and physically abused him because of rumors that they themselves made up and pretended like they were true.
When the other kids started teasing and mocking him, he thought the staff members would put a stop to it but instead they joined in and laughed at him. That was when he began to believe what everyone was saying about him, that he was worthless, useless and a mistake to the world, especially his real parents, which is why he was there in the first place. That he was different and didn't belong anywhere but in a grave, six feet under. But when he was chosen by a new family in a new city, he felt slightly less worthless and useless and more wanted than he has ever felt in the sixteen years he has been on this planet. If only he knew what was to come in this new city...Taehyung POV
"Is the problem finally leaving?"
"Please tell me that he is actually leaving!"
"Is crazy gone yet?"
"Don't worry guys soon you won't have to stay clear of it soon. I pray for his new family; they're going to need it"
I could already hear the happy cheers from the other kids when they found out I was leaving soon as me and Chan-mi walked down the winding staircase. Even a couple of the carers laughed and cheered about the fact that the crazy kid was leaving. But it doesn't hurt anymore, I've accepted the fact that theyre right for some time now. I was crazy. I was worthless. I was unlovable. I didn't deserve a loving family or any friends. Everything they say, its correct.
As we walked into the common room, I saw everyone surrounding a long table that was along the edge of the wall. I looked around for Chan-mi to ask if we had time to go have a look, but she was walking away towards the main entrance. Without her there to check with, my curious side got the best of me and I wandered over to where everyone was chilling and laughing loudly. However, when I reached everyone else, I wished I had never come over.
On the table there was lots of delicious foods, party foods to be more exact. There were cookies, cupcakes, tiny sandwiches, some cut up fruits and vegetables but the thing that I wished I had never seen was what was placed in the middle of the table. The thing everyone was laughing and pointing at was a chocolate cake with the writing 'Good riddance crazy' on it. So, this party was to celebrate me leaving?
