"Where am I?" was Taehyung's immediate thought as he awoke in a strange and unfamiliar room. He rapidly looked from left to right, trying to find anything that might give me a clue as to where he was. But there was absolutely nothing...
Slowly, he rose from where he had been laid and took a better look at unfamiliar surroundings.
There was a king-size bed in the centre of the room that had a grey and black duvet covering the soft mattress. A bedside table was placed on the left side of the bed with a desk on the right. The desk was messy and unorganised with paper, pen and stationery thrown everywhere, not a single piece of the desk could be seen. There was a black wheelie chair in front of the desk with a grey fluffy blanket covering the back. Also on the right side of the room was a door that he assumed lead to some sort of bathroom or walk-in wardrobe. The bedside table had a angelically pure white lamp resting neatly in the corner with a stack of books that he presumed had all been read. On the right wall was a colossal window that shone in the gorgeous moonlight, creating a wonderful fluorescent colour decorating the grey walls. The walls were a plain grey colour with nothing on them only a simple clock on the back wall behind the bed.
Taehyung walked over to the window slowly, careful not to make any noise, and looked outside to try and figure out where he is. He saw that he was on the second floor of the house, just close enough to the ground to jump. Therefore, he tried to open the window latch but it wouldn't open. He kept trying but it just wouldn't budge, it was locked and the key could not be found.
At this point, panic was setting in after realising that there was no way out except through the door which was basically a death wish. Taehyung as slowly as he could walked over to the door and opened it a bit, enough to see down the hallway. He noticed that there was no one there so proceeded to open the door further and start walking down the hall.
As he reached the top of the staircase, he could hear voices coming from downstairs. Taehyung could hear approximately about four voices but they were talking quietly so there could be more or less.
Taehyung weighed up his options and thought the best thing to do was to just go down and see if he can make a quick escape without being noticed. Slowly, he started to ascend down the large staircase and towards his exit.
He was half way down when he heard a cough from behind him. Taehyung, scared by the sudden noise, jumped and tumbled down the remaining stairs, landing with a bang at the bottom. The pain he felt when he made contact with the floor was unimaginable. If it wasn't bad enough that he had been beaten up only hours before, now he had just fallen down about twenty stairs.
Taehyung didn't know what to do so he just laid there, eyes welling with tears. All of a sudden he heard lots of footsteps, more than just one person, heading towards where he was suffering. The person had initially scared him was now hovering over him with worried eyes.
"Ohh dear, are you okay?" the man sounded panicked as he extended a hand to touch Taehyung's cheek to which he flinched and turned slightly away.
"P-Please d-don't hurt m-me" Taehyung's voice came out as nothing but an almost inaudible whisper. This caused the man to retract his hand quickly in fear of distressing the small boy even more.
"Jin! Are you-... What happened!?" a tall, bunny-like boy shouted as he came into the two's view. Quickly, the same boy ran over to Taehyung who now had tears streaming down his soft, pale face.
"I don't know, Jungkook. I came out of the bathroom and saw him walking down the stairs so I coughed but I think that frightened him. Next thing I know, he is tumbling down and that's how we got here" Jin explained, whilst looking at the boy who was now sat up in a sitting position.
Jungkook slowly bent down and sat next to Taehyung, bringing him to sit on his lap. Softly, he started to play with the older's hair in an attempt to calm him down. Unfortunately, Taehyung still had no idea who these strange people are, so what was a comforting gesture is now something that raised alarm in the older's head.
As fast as he could, he pushed Jungkook away and made a run for the door no matter how much his body was hurting or yelling at him to stop. He ripped the door open and made a run for it, not knowing where to go. The only thing he knew is that he needed to leave before anything could happen.
While he was running down the street, he could hear people following and chasing after him, propelling him forwards faster. Soon, he made it to a forest and without hesitation ran in it, heading to his "home".
Taehyung's new family moved into the woods/forest, saying that it was to protect him but he knew that was a lie. It didn't take long for the truth to come out though as soon after they moved it all began. The relentless torture, the beatings and the psychological trauma. The only escape he ever got was going to school but even when he got back the same thing would happen. They would hurt him in any way possible whether that be with objects, words or themselves and they would only stop when Taehyung was unconscious or after they were satisficed.
As he thought about the past, a shock of panic ran through his body as he remembered the beating he had gotten for returning home late from school. He slowly looked at the sky and saw the moon shining in all it's glory, he is extremely late home. He started to slow his running, thinking if the right idea was to go home or try his luck with the six strangers.
He was pulled out of his thoughts by the people's footsteps getting too close for comfort. Without a second thought he took off running again; he knew that his family would find him in the end even if he went with the strangers.
The further he got into the forest, the more he knew where to go. Everything was becoming familiar to him, the trees, bushes and even the pathways. He took many twists and turns in an attempt to lose the perusing people and eventually he lost them. Once he was completely certain he has lost the strangers, he started to slow down and walk the rest of the way.
It took Taehyung about an hour to reach his house but he didn't go in straight away. Careful not to be seen, he crept round a tree and hid there for a couple of minutes before deciding to enter his version of hell.
Quietly, he opened the door and noticed all the lights. Sighing on relief, he closed the door and started to make his way up the stairs until all the lights flicked on and his "parents" were stood at the bottom of the stairs. Cautiously he turned around and when he did, he wished he hadn't. They were stood there with a bottle, rope and a chair, smirking at the poor boy they were about to beat within an inch of his life.
"Look who finally decided to come home..."
"Why don't you come closer, dear, we won't hurt you"
