I prepared before meeting Prey. I will tell him all the things that his fiancé told me that day. I drove my way towards starbucks and I saw him already there.
"Claudette.." I turn my gaze to him and returned it to the menu.
"1 Grande Caramel Macchiato, for here." I said to the girl in the cashier.
"Name po?" She asked.
"Claudette."
"Okay thats for *price* po." I immediately get my change and search for a good place to sit.
"Hey. Don't treat me like this." I looked at him and was about to say something when the order came.
"One Iced Caramel Macchiato and Caffe Latte for honey and boo?" I looked at him shocked and decided to just sit there at the couch.
"Get that. For God's sake, Prey! Mga kagaguhan mo naman." I said and rolled my eyes on him. Pero, I suddenly thought of a plan for revenge kay Gracie.

I felt satisfied after posting that. Soon, Gracie will see that.
"What was that for?" He asked.
"Explain." I laid back to the couch and sip my coffee while preparing to listen to him.
"I didn't cheat. I never did, baby. I never agreed to that engagement. Si Gracie lang may gusto non, and God, Claudette. I love you so much, why would I do that to you?"

"That day when she came, it was all planned. She followed my car from school to the resto." He continued.

This was the moment I knew.. I fucked up.
"All of that was her lie to make me stay away?" I finally talked.
"Yeah, I guess. Sadly, it worked. I really thought you would talk to me but your doors are already closed. That's why I decided to agree on the wedding."
I felt like everything is shattering to pieces when I heard him saying that.
"You what?" I nervously asked while the tears are forming in my eyes. I should've expected this kasi nakita ko din yung prenup nila. But hearing this from him, hurts a million times.
"We didn't even have a closure." I whispered.
"I love you so much, Claudette. But, it's just too late. You're too late, baby. I thought that loving her won't cost any."
"Yeah, you will just lose me."
"But, didn't I lose you from the very moment you shut me down?"

Yes I did, but eventually I understand it. I was afraid of the answer that I might get. I was afraid that if I see you, I won't leave this country and just stay here with you. "Congratulations, and best wishes." I said and left him there in the couch. I cried myself out till I ran out of tears.
It's just sad that, everything that are once perfect, can be destroyed by a single mistake. You can never bring it back from the way it was back then.
