Frost danced around the sky as the dim sun shone through the branches of a bare tree. People walked through the lush park as the towering skyscrapers of Noxmere loomed above.

The city of Noxmere was split into 5 districts, each with its respective field of development. The largest district was Roc West. Roc West was the sole manufacturer of technological tools in Noxmere. Despite the field's recent discovery, these tools were the most lucrative and dangerous items in Noxmere.

The citizens of Roc West flourished in their lavish mansions and ever-expanding skyscrapers while most citizens in Noxmere lived in small apartments or miniature houses.

Raimond Gagnier was one of those citizens. Despite Raimond residing in Roc West, he lived on the bottom floor of the Shielrage Tower. Raimond's apartment was given to him by the government until he got a job.

Raimond's apartment was small in scale but was large enough for him. The floor of his apartment was flooded with bills and notices. To get away from the responsibility of payments, Raimond decided to take a walk in the park in the center of Roc West.

During Raimond's walk, he walked past a tall, well-dressed man. Normally, Raimond would think nothing of the interaction, but this man was different. Before Raimond could continue his train of thought, he heard small, explosions erupting from an alley nearby.

Raimond decided to walk over to the alley and investigate the situation.

In the alley, Raimond saw a group of people, around his age, barely adults, throwing small condensed explosions at a man. The man had was of medium stature white hair and dark blue eyes. The man was corned against the back wall of the alley and had his hands up defensively. The ground was covered in his blood. The man could no longer take the damage, he crumpled to the floor, eyes closed, and ragged breathing.

One of the group members was about to kill the man until Raimond shouted from the entrance, "Hey, stop!". His whimpering voice was masked in fear but had a hint of courage peaking through. Raimond was not intimidating but he was larger than the normal man and he was fast. His green eyes glimmered in the sunlight as the wind pushed his black hair.

Someone stepped forward, the apparent leader. He was a small man but with broad shoulders that were covered with a crimson red jacket. The right shoulder of the leather jacket had a small silver insignia. As the man stepped closer to Raimond, he could see the silver horns atop the silver insignia.

When Raimond saw the full insignia, his face became flushed with fear. Raimond realized that he picked a fight with an Ivory Demon.

The Ivory Demons was one of the largest guilds in the world, and they owned the district that Raimond lived in. The guilds controlled most of the cities and districts. The government tried to fight the guilds but most politicians and police officers had been bought off or threatened.

The only people that could stop a guild was a rival guild. The turf wars between rival guilds had been a continuous presence for the last two hundred years, but the number of turf wars had been increasing lately.

As soon as Raimond was inside the walls of the alleyway, two members of the Ivory Demons slammed their hands against the brick walls. The bricks began to shift they closed the entrance behind Raimond.

After Raimond glanced at the wall behind him, he kept his eyes locked on the leader. The leader's bloodshot eyes met Raimond's green eyes.

After a few seconds of staring, a large man stepped out from the shadows behind the leader. The man was wearing a leather jacket similar to the leader's jacket. Except, his jacket could barely contain his broad shoulders and large torso. The man's gray hair was pushed by the wind as he took his jacket off, revealing a demon insignia on his forearms.
