So it's a Saturday and it's my favorite day in the whole week only because I don't have to go to school or anywhere else. I have the whole day to myself. I can do anything I want and I feel like except if my brother interrupts my day program.
After brushing my teeth, I move down stairs to have some breakfast. On my way, I miss a step and almost fall to the ground but fortunately Dad arrives on time Bd
This only shows me that there is bad luck for me today.
He walks me to the table where I find Matthew's phone. He normally doesn't leave it behind. Dad gives me a cup of tea.
"Sweetie, I may come back late. I have an appointment with a client." Dad explains as he picks up his bag.
"But when did you start working on weekends?" I ask.
"No. It's just an important issue."
"Take care and if you need money I have left some in my office on the table." He says as he walks out.
I sigh.
A message notification shows up on Matthew's phone.
'I miss you.
Curiosity is my good friend. I stretch my hand over to reach it. I pick it.
I check through his WhatsApp messages. I usually respect rules of privacy but not today. When I take a good look I see that, that message has been sent by 'My flower'. I giggle and try to stifle a laugh so that he doesn't hear me. He might be showering now and probably forgot his phone down here. But for Christ's sake why would he nickname her such a funny name.
I tap on her contact to read through their messages.
While reading, a loud voice hinders my attention.
"Hey, what are you doing with my phone?" He yells.
I quickly close the app and switch it off.
He stomps towards me with a furious face.
"So what have you been checking through it." He raises an eyebrow.
"Ugh...someone sent you a message and I felt like seeing who it was."
"Don't you know that's it's not ethical to check people's phones without permission?" he asks.
"Oh sorry."
"So who was that that texted me."
"My flower." I burst into a laugh.
This makes him blush.
"So tell me who is your flower?" I tease.
"Atleast you'd have consulted me on which name to call a girl friend." I laugh louder.
He huffs. "She isn't my gf."
"Then why does she miss you all the time." I tease him more.
"So you thought I wouldn't know?"
"C'mon I'm your sis, you can always feel free to tell me anything."
"But....."
"But what?"
"I just like her. It's not that she is my girlfriend."
"But why did she tell you that she misses you."
"Okay may be I think she likes you too."
"But we're just friends, why do you make it a big deal." he says looking down.
