after realizing that saritorizowa denied her request to both attend and play volleyball for them, it was a hard hit to (y/n)'s ego. all around japan she was known as one of the most strategic setters, because used her brain in all of her plays. although, she was still terribly full of herself so some of her sets were incredibly self-centered and impulsive.

that was clearly her downfall.

in junior high she had let everyone's praise get to her head, so she knew she was good. but evidently, not good enough for her dream school. to everyone else, she seemed fine despite the disappointment. in reality, she was most definitely not fine.

after she had figured out the bad news, she applied to aoba johsai, and got in. both the hatred and sadness got to her head, so she soon began practicing harder and longer than she ever had before.

and with those tiring hours of relentless practice, she perfected every single skill she had, and even acquired new ones. so she entered aoba johsai with an ego that was stronger than ever, and had learned to grow back her confidence completely.

little did she know, there was a second year on their men's volleyball team that was similar to the girl in ways more than one. and soon enough, fate would make them meet and they'd become what others thought to be problematic best friends, but in reality enemies. after all, the two did play the same position, and when it came down to it, everything was a competition.
