I was returning home after a tiring day . Well to say that's how every day as a pediatrician . But I am not complaining because I love my job. It was yet a another hectic day to say .
I usually love the car journey from my clinic to home . It is very peaceful and calm .
Once I entered home I realised the tension in the air . My mother and father were discussing something important . I did not want to disturb them . So I went to kitchen to grab a drink after greeting them . As I was finishing my juice sitting on one of my chair my eyes struck on the scenery before me . I felt a void in my heart. Suddenly there was a feeling of emptiness in my heart which I cannot address.

I was brought out of my thoughts when my mother called me standing outside the kitchen . She was watching my action . "U miss playing with your brother in the garden " maybe I couldn't understand that emptiness. My brother is living in London with his wife and kids . I miss him very much .

"Ananya we have seen a groom for you " ohhh this is what they were discussing . "Ok I will meet him and then tell you " I said with a emotion less face . I didnot know what I was feeling . I was happy I was getting married . But something made me sad . But my mother's next sentence shook me "he is the perfect groom for u " I could sense her nervousness . My mother was never like this . I don't know what got into her today. "You are getting engaged with him day after tomorrow" what is this a prank ?

I was sitting in my bed thinking about my situation . I am going to get engaged to someone I didnot know . The whole marriage scenario got me thrilled . But I need to know about him . Does he like me ? . It is not like I love someone .

My thoughts were disturbed by my brother's voice. Is he here? .
My brother karan was standing there with his wife amala and his son aman.
My brother hugged me and caressed my hair . "How long should I wait for my anu to hug me " amala faked tears . I laughed at her antics and hugged her . I am happy my brother married her.

I was passing through my father's room . I could hear my brother's voice which stopped me in my tracks "why is this sudden marriage " . Even I wanted to know the reason . "It is best for her " my father's word was very surprising , he always wanted the best for me. "He doesn't know about this " looks like even the groom doesn't know about the marriage . Before I could hear more my brother said "I need to talk to anu" slowly I slipped to my room

The mystery behind this sudden marriage was still running in my mind . " Ananya stop this marriage" my brother's words were very firm . "Why ???" . He looked at me with loss of words "karan I want to know two things why are u trying to stop this marriage and why father fixed my marriage in such a short time" . He was looking at me with a emotion I couldn't understand . "Because I don't think I will live long " my father's words stopped my world

My brother was scrutinizing my father . " Will you grant me the wish of seeing your marriage before I die" I couldn't think clearly now. My throat was stuck with emotion . " I am ready" my brother looked at me with 'don't do that look '....
