"Why is it that things aren't working out the way I want?"

"I'm so sorry, sir! She insisted! And you know that she does hold a little power, even over you."

"She doesn't! Get her out of here! I want her out of here now—!"

"Is there a problem?"

Marius paled.

The early morning had passed like wild fire, and the teachers found themselves being guided to different rooms spread around the school. Y/N was directed towards the English department along with Remus.

On the way, they encountered Marius, whom was busy talking to a bunch of people that grouped around him like flies. He laughed at the attention, catching Y/N's eye. She sent a soft smile to his big grin and wave, to which she quickly looked away from all the news sets of eyes following her.

"I'm... really nervous," she said shyly, glancing towards Remus.

"I doubt it'll be anything you haven't experienced, Y/N, so don't be."

Y/N smiled again, yet Remus was partially distracted by the bulldozing glare aimed at the back his head. He gulped, rubbing the spot until he felt it edge away, obviously bored.

The guide, as the three weaved through a crowd of gossiping students, started a conversation. "I assume you both know that none of you will be getting homeroom classes to teach?"

Remus nodded. "I was informed in my invitation email, as there are already enough teachers to take thirty kids each."

"That's right."

Y/N glanced at Remus again. Sure she'd been informed the same thing, but had some sort of regret from not having a class of her own to teach.

They took another three turns before finally stopping.

"This is you, Miss L/N," the guider nodded towards a large classroom that was about twice the size of the one she'd been tested in.

Despite being in the face of a new challenge, she felt a wave of excitement rush over her. "Oh god, is this all for me—?"

Her guide interrupted her before she had the chance to embarrass herself further.

"Unfortunately, no. Although an inside source tried very hard to get you your own classroom, our staff figured we could only get you a shared one."

You smiled in a confused way. "I'm sorry?"

They took a sigh. "The basic principle of it is that we have a vast number of English teachers already, and yes we saw tons of potential in you as one, however it's unfair to let go some of our own very qualified teachers to make room."

"...I suppose that's alright. But how would we share?"

"We revised a sort of switch system, as in for one period you take, you get a free space where you remain in the room, perhaps to take notes or marking, until you get period three after your colleague is done."

It was odd, sure, but there was nothing like a new experience!

"May I ask whom I'm sharing with?"

"Oh," said the guide, motioning a hand inside, "Miss Well's already there. I trust you'll get along well."

She thanked the guide, who told Remus they ought to move along if he wanted to get to class on time.

When they'd gone, Y/N lifted her eyes and let they scan over the room until they landed on a figure. A very familiar one.
