Lovely Mutual Jealousy

Prologue

I woke up, stretching myself in bed. I looked at the clock and shuffled my feet into the bathroom.

After taking a bath and brushing my teeth, I wore my school uniform and entered the dining hall where I found my family moaning every single bite at the food they took.

"Good morning everyone" I said as I slipped into a chair and started eating.

"Good morning" they muffled due to their stuffed mouth.

I took a bite of the breakfast and moaned as well.

"Oh my God mum, this is awesome" I said. "Thank you" she replied.

"You see, your mother is the best cook you know" said my dad.

"So how's Carla?" She is my elder sister who is in college by now.

"Oh she called yesterday" answered my mum.

"When will she come back?" I asked.

"Thursday" answers dad.

"Oh OK, where's Kenneth?" My baby brother.

"He's asleep...hurry you're running late for school!" said my mum.

I finished up my food and dropped my plate into the sink. I was running late so I had to hurry.

I slipped my arms into my bag and kissed my parents. I rushed outside, entered my car and drove to school.

As usual, I was always late to class. I sighed and walked briskly to class and to my relief, the teacher had not arrived.

Most students were gathered around a particular seat next to mine. I found Adoma, plopped into my seat.

He turned and faced me and I immediately knew who the new comer was.

"Janan!" I screamed and covered my mouth.

"Sandrah!" he yelled as he rushed towards me and embraced me in a hug. I avoided the class and hugged him back,shedding tears of joy and happiness.

"Oh Janan!" I cried.

"I know...it's been ages" He whispered. He broke away and we wiped our tears.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" came in my friend, Emmanuella's voice as she got up and walked towards us.

"You guys know each other?" she asked.

"Of course we do!" I replied.

"Really?" asked Euna, another friend.

"Wow!" said Ella. "You knew, and you never told us?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Sorry guys...it's just that every time I remember him, I cry, because I miss him so much" I stated.

"But why did you separate?" Euna asked.

"You see, we were in the same school in Junior High, we were very good best friends until we both changed schools and we had to separate...even our parents know each other!" Janan explained.

"This is interesting" said Adoma.

"Give me your bag" said Janan as I handed him the bag "Where do you sit?" He asked and they pointed to my seat in which Adoma was.

Adoma hesitated before getting up but she did and Janan hanged my bag at my seat and I sat beside him and both of us were grinning. Adoma sat in front of us, beside Gregory.

We chatted for a while until the teacher, Mr. Dolu entered.

"So class, we have a new student". Turning to Janan "Would you like to introduce yourself?"
