The wind runs through my hair as it flows through me, with every breath being cool and calm. I stand on a hill with millions upon millions of flowers below. All different shapes of petals, different colors, and different heights. My eyes are open to the beautiful land, admiring the diversity of nature. I look up to the blue sky and soft and fluffy clouds. The sun smiles down on me, also admiring the flowers. I close my eyes as the sun rest on my face, but I still see light. And I hear thunder. I can't open my eyes anymore, but there is loud thunder and the sound of pouring rain. I start to feel the water pour on me, and I'm running. I'm running to the flowers, which look at me with fear. I heard a scream. I looked down and noticed I stepped on one. I scream too as I kneel down to help the flower. It was a rose, it looked at me with sad eyes as it started to lose color. I close my eyes tight and hold the rose close to me. I then see light again. Did the sun come to see what's wrong? No. I opened my eyes to see fire burning on the bed of flowers, screaming for help. I scream too, as I run towards the fire. Except I fall.
I fall into a hard surface. Only to realize, I never fell. I open my eyes and sit up, then I look around for the flowers and fire. Except there was no fire. And no flowers. There was only rain. And my balcony. And my mother.

"What on earth are you doing here!? Do you want to catch a cold? Do you think your an outdoor dog? Are you one with nature!? "
She stood at the balcony door, looking at me with an angry, disappointed, and confused look. If I wasn't startled, I would laugh. "I uh... No..?? " I said to her then looked down at my deep blue sweater and grey sweatpants, all soaked in rain. I looked back up to my mother, who an expression of anger. "Well then why are you out here in the rain!? Come inside and take a bath, there's school today for goodness sake! You can't be doing this! " She raised her voice, looking crazier with every vowel.
"Yes mother. " I put myself on to my feet, then stood up. The rain was still pouring, but I saw people below me. The gardeners my mother pays for, still told to work even though they are basically drowning.
I walked past my mother and stepped onto the wood floor of my room. I looked to the outside, at how different the environment is. "Well are you going to do what I say? " I turned my head to face her. She has a tall oval face, and her cheekbones where very high. She looked sharp, no soft features at all. Her dark brown hair was layered and straight, reaching her shoulders. She looked at me with her dull brown eyes, which seem to have no emotion.

Whenever I'm mad at her I just think about how she looks like the evil mom from Coraline.
I never say that to her face.

"Yes mother. " Looking straight into her eyes, I know she could look through me.
She put on her square shaped glasses, which had an ombre style on the frame. She adjusted her glasses and squinted at my hair and clothes. "Im sorry but I don't see you going into the bathroom and I don't hear the shower running, so you better get a move on! " She had her hand on her hip. I felt annoyed, but quickly I went to my bathroom. "You have two hours until school, you better be ready by the hour and a half. " She slammed the door to the hallway, as I was left alone in the door way to my bathroom. I sighed and closed the door behind me. I caught myself in the mirror.

My dark chestnut brown hair was wet, but wavy. My oval face and oval eyes. My plump lips. My thin eyebrows. My skin, now roughed up from the stone on the balcony.

I looked tired.

The shower ran, and I felt the cold water splash against my peach skin. I shivered, then turned the heat up.
I thought about my dream, or nightmare, long and hard. Why did I step on the rose? Why was there fire while it rained? Why did I even sleep outside?

Oh, right. I stayed outside looking at the stars, wondering how many there where. And how something so beautiful is out when everyone else is in. Although I have to admit, the blue sky is beautiful too. But the stars are different. They are always there, but you can't see them because of a bigger star, the sun. But when the sun goes away, the stars shine bright beside the moon. Lighting the dark night. And everyone is asleep, not bothering to look at then. Amazing. The only stars we can see, we don't. And we can't see the bigger star, it will hurt us. So why shouldn't we look at the stars?
