Flashback started replaying through her mind. The other day, when she found out that she was going to lose him. She had forever been obsessed with him. She also knew that she had no chance with him. He constantly used to talk about her sister with her, telling her how pretty and feisty she is and how he wanted to hang out with her. She used to laugh with him, but the jealousy grew inside her.

On the day of Holi, when the whole society gathered to celebrate, he decided to propose to her in front of everyone. He knew that their family liked him, so any sort of rejection from the family wasn't expected. She was furious looking at him kneeled down with a ring in front of her sister when it should've been her. She saw the love of her life going away from her. Her sister's positive response to his proposal totally broke her.

That year, Holi didn't go well for her. She wanted him since she was fifteen and her obsession for him grew with each passing year. Her fear of losing friendship with him made her keep mum about her feelings for him. But then, when she saw him with her sister, it burned her. She couldn't let him go without at least confessing to him once. She called him to meet her at their hideout place.

She decorated that secluded, empty warehouse with candles. When he came in, he was surprised at all the decorations. He asked her what it was all about. She smiled and came in front of him. She told him that she has a confession to make and that she has been dying to tell about this for a very long time. The decoration with her talking like this made him weird out.

She held his face, looked into his eyes and confessed that she loves him since they were teens and that he should break his engagement with her sister and marry her instead. This angered him. He pushed away her hands and moved back. He couldn't believe his ears. He was sad that his only best friend wasn't happy with his marriage and angry because she suggested breaking it.

Sensing clear rejection from his side, she pledged that she won't let the marriage happen. She looked around the warehouse and her eyes fell on an old rusted axe. She picked it up and swung it on the back of his neck. He screamed out loud and fell down on the ground with a thud. She killed him, her teen love. She sat down there and cried her heart out. Her face and dress was all stained with his blood. She was horrified at the mess she created. She didn't know what to do next. She cried throughout the day sitting beside his dead body.

When it started getting darker, she knew she had to get back home. She didn't know how to face everyone out there. People were giving away weird glances towards her throughout the way. On reaching home, her mother screamed at the sight of her, covered in blood. When they asked about it, she lied to them that he was trying to rape her and that she used an axe on him for her defense. This was horrifying. They sympathized with her. She played the fake feminism card well. Her sister was broken at the knowledge of this. Her whole family was sad. This made her feel more nauseous. She needed out.

She decided to move to some different place. She wanted to get back to her normal life, away from all the bloodied events. Shifting upon here, to a totally unknown place, she thought that she would move on with life easily. But all those blood-red memories never left. They followed her everywhere she went.

She started sensing the pain on her neck again. Looking back, it was him with the same axe covered with blood. She fainted and fell on the floor. The pain started to numb and she started to get back to her senses. She slowly fluttered her eyes open and realized that she fainted in front of her bedroom door where all of it started.

Another day passed, with her mind getting flooded with the same nightmare. She sat up, her eyes filled with tears. Every night she would cry for his forgiveness. She begged him to stop torturing her like that. But how can he forgive his best friend's betrayal and then the accusation of attempt to rape. The night grew darker, as if he was happy seeing her regret and cry. She curled up into a ball and cried till she fell asleep.
