Madeline's POV
I'm Madeline and this is the summer where one person turned my life upside down.
I groaned as my phone rang throughout the room. I sighed as I turned over and picked it up off my bedside table. I smiled when I saw the name written across the top of my phone.
Knox🥰
"Hello." I smiled as I answered.
"Hey, cutie," Knox said through the phone.
"Whatcha up to?" I asked as I twirled my hair around my finger.
"Nothing much. So my mom just gave me my graduation gift and I wanna show you." He sounded excited.
"Oh ok, when are you coming by?" I asked as I held the phone.
"In like an hour if that's ok." He said and I looked at my Apple Watch.
"Yeah, that's fine. Where are we going?" I asked and sat up in bed.
"That's a surprise but bring whatever you need if you were going to the beach or swimming." He told me and I nodded.
"Alright see you in an hour," I said as I unplugged my phone and stood up.
"See then cutie." He spoke.
"Bye," I said smiling.
"Bye," He said before he hung up.
I smiled as I walked over to my window and drew back my curtains. I smiled and looked at the beautiful scenery around me. The ocean, palm trees, and sand shone in the sunlight. Summerland Key, Florida close to perfect but far from normal. Summerland is in the Florida Keys obviously. Around 3 hours from Miami, my little island is basically heaven on earth.
I walked into my bathroom to start getting ready. I sighed as I looked in the mirror. That's me, Madeline Mae Carpenter. Born and raised on this beautiful island. The youngest of three kids and my dad's babygirl. I'm 17 and I'm about to be a senior in high school. I've lived on the Westside all of my life and it has been great.
I smiled and listened to my music as I got ready. I did my skin routine before braiding my hair into two french braids. I tied my braids off and finished getting ready. I walked into my bedroom and into my huge closet. I searched through my pile of bathing suits before I finally settled on this one.
I grabbed one of Knox's shirts and pulled it on before I grabbed my beach bag. I packed my beach necessities like sunglasses, speaker, towel, change of clothes, hairbrush, and much more. I sighed as I grabbed my bag and my phone. I walked to my full-length mirror and checked my reflection. I sighed as I touched the picture on my mirror.
