First of all, I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Also, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Kwanza! I'm not very educated on exactly what Hanukkah and Kwanza are all about. However, I will do further research later today. It's actually quite interesting because I seem to know a lot about Christmas, even though I don't celebrate it. Anyway, today's thought of the day is not about how under educated I am about Hanukkah or kwanza. Today it's about the joy of giving gifts rather than receiving. I was packing an outstanding gift for my best friend because her birthday is coming up. That moment got me thinking how happy I am to wrap the present and give it to her. There is a certain happiness in ripping the wrapping paper and finding an object, not any object but something someone put lots of thought, time and effort for you. On the same coins toss, watching someone's reaction to the gift you gave them is it can be priceless. The whole process is so special, hard to capture as well. It really is the thought that counts. I realize that this year the holiday spirit seemed missing. Maybe because of all the mortifying events taking place around the world. Perhaps, it's because the traditions have gotten boring, whatever it maybe let it slide and enjoy the day. Give your loved ones a call and let them know that everything will be alright and that you love them too. Once again, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays!
