Can Hate Turn into Love? (Jamona)

"Our New Normal"

Her father had been excited about their weekend together, they hadn't had a father daughter day since before the separation. 

He had planned out their weekend with all of the activities they would always love to do on their special time, including the museum and the American girls store.

Ramona felt she may be a little too old for some of their traditional activities

She was definitely too old for the American Girl Store  

But she knew her father was excited to spend time with her and she didn't want to hurt his feelings or make him think that she didn't want to spend time with him. So she kept quiet and just enjoyed spending time with her father.

On Saturday they visited the Museum  and the American girl store where her father bought her a doll much to her objections  and then they went bowling where she beat her dad 2 out of 3 games.

On Sunday they had breakfast at their favorite diner that was next to her old dance studio followed by mini golf and then they ended their day by getting ice cream from their favorite ice cream shop.

It ended up being a really nice weekend and it reminded Ramona of the old days 

When her mom had to work so she and her father would go out for breakfast, 

How her dad would take her to get ice cream after dance practice 

It wasn't that long ago but it felt like a lifetime ago

By Sunday evening her father brings her home and as they enter the Fuller House her mother is already there in the living room as if she had been waiting for them.

"Hey, how was your weekend?" her mom asks her

"It was really nice" she says as she tells her mother about all their activities that they did during their weekend together 

"It sounds like you guys had a fun weekend " her mom responds smiling 

" We actually did," she responds to her mother and then turns to her father  Thanks papa,  I had fun, see you next weekend?" she says as she hugs her dad and is about to head to her room

"Ramona, before you go upstairs your father and I have something to tell you" her mom stops her 

"What is it?" she asks curiously

"Come sit down" her mom says as she pats the seat next to her

She walks hesitantly to the couch where her mom is currently seated, her father following her

"What's going on?" Ramona asks getting nervous

"Sweetie, we just wanted to let you know that your father and I have finally signed the divorce papers" her mother tells her

"Oh" was all she could say. She knew it shouldn't surprise her but for some reason she did not see that coming.

"This changes nothing , we are still your parents and will always love you" her father says as he hugs her

"I know, I love you guys too" she tells them as they both hug her. She stands up and grabs her bag and turns to them "I still have some homework that i need to get done" she says as she starts to head to her room.

"Ramona are you okay, do you want to talk?" her mom asks

Ramona turns around and gives her mom the best smile she can "Mom, don't worry I am fine, I  knew this was bound to happened. It's all good" she nods
