Nayeon sighed for the third time this day, everything just made her feel so annoyed from forgetting her homework to forgetting her lunch. Now she was greeted by tons of letter sliding down from her locker to her feet. She grabbed all of it and saw no name written in each whatsoever.
"Whoa, you got another love letter?" Jeongyeon said, covering her mouth to fake her expression and mock Nayeon. "You sure are popular Nayeon-Unnie."
"Of course I am." Nayeon pridefully said before stuffing all of the letters inside her bag. She looked back to her locker and saw chocolate boxes piled up. She sighed once more. "Not to mention, I get more and more lately." Nayeon grabbed the five boxes and to her frustration, there was also no name.
"Valentines' just around the corner so you need to prepare an extra bag for all those piles of junk then."
"Ugh don't remind me." Nayeon closed her locker furiously before pinching the bridge of her nose. "There's just no way I would reply to them."
"Eh? Why not?" Jeongyeon asked curiously, tilting her head as she did so.
"The person I like..." Nayeon faltered before composing herself. "The person I love would never write a confession let alone give chocolates for me."
"Oh?" Jeongyeon mocked again a smirk creeping her face. "So someone was able to occupy Nayeon-Unnie's heart and mind? That's shocking to hear."
Nayeon glared at Jeongyeon. "You make it sound like I'm terrible."
"Just a little." Jeongyeon brushed off their teasing as she really got curious whoever might stole Nayeon's heart, the ice queen. "Though, how come you're sure they wouldn't give you confession letters and chocolates? Meanwhile I'm always contemplating if I should just throw every letter or reply honestly."
Nayeon hummed, trying to think of what could be causing her love from doing anything romantic. "Well, because she's really dense," she laughed at that. "And, buying expensive stuff isn't her forte."
"Then why not give her chocolates and a letter?"
"I'm Im Nayeon." Nayeon retorted. "And Im Nayeon does not write letters and give chocolates to their love ones, my love ones give them to me." She smiled pridefully making Jeongyeon roll her eyes of amusement. "let's go home."
...
"Oh, wow!" Dahyun smiled shyly at the owner of the store, putting back the chocolate box in it's designated place. "Expensive."
"Buying someone chocolates, Dahyunie?" Sana asked, her hands behind her back while giving of a smile.
"Actually, I was going to buy them for myself." Dahyun answered while scratching her cheek. "Seeing no one ever gives me chocolate, I'm going to give myself one. It's called self love."
"Oh, I thought you would give us some chocolates." Sana pouted while crossing her arms cutely. "I was keeping my hopes up."
"Honestly speaking,"Dahyun cleared her throat. "I was thinking of giving something to someone." Sana was shocked from what she heard. For the first time, Dahyun admitted something without someone forcing her.
"Aww, that's cute, tell me who it is." Sana playfully said, making Dahyun blush at the thought of her love.
"I'm a bit shy on who it is," She answered making Sana giggle at how cute she was. "But I feel like it'd be better if I kept these feelings as memories."
"Why is that?"
"Because this way, I'd be able to treasure them more that way." Dahyun looked down, her eyes following the lines of her shoe to keep distracted. "Seeing how every letter and chocolates she receives would later be forgotten."
"You poor thing." Sana comforted, getting closer to Dahyun and rubbing her back for assurance. "Whoever they might be must be really hard to fall in love with." Sana smiled softly, as an idea popped in her mind. "Oh, why don't we go to the arcade, that might cheer you up."
"Okay." Dahyun agreed and let herself be dragged by Sana. Though her mind went adrift on the real reason why she wouldn't give her love a confession.
The answer to that is quite easy. Dahyun knew Nayeon was in love with someone and she didn't want to take the chance and express her feeling so she could save both of them from getting awkward.
Nayeon and Dahyun wished that someday, both of them could properly lay their feelings without any care in the world.
——— Okay so first of all, I just wrote this out of no where because I was bored and thought I should share it with others. But since I've somehow made a plot for this, I'll be continuing it.
Since I'm mostly new to this writing thing, I tried my best for everyone so I hope you would like it even just a bit (◕‿◕✿)
