Y/n doesn't know what to say

Y/n:There may be a time where we have to split apart from each other...

Cortana:Don't...don't say that! I'll protect you!

Y/n laughs a bit

Y/n:There are plenty of people out there who are already out to get me...and I want you to know that you will always be my top priority Cortana...no matter what...no matter who I'm fighting...keeping you safe is all that matters to me okay?

Cortana:But I can keep you safe!

Y/n:If things get bad I want you to leave my body during a fight and take everything with you...

Cortana:Pain nullification and regeneration too?

Y/n:Yup! Everything!

Y/n smiles but Cortana is on the verge of crying again

Cortana:How could you smile at a time like this! You're talking about fighting someone without any help! Why would you fight impossible odds!?

Y/n who is still smiling speaks again

Y/n:If someone is that dangerous to where you need to leave it's not because I know I can beat them because once you leave that's out of the question...its letting that person that we won't go quietly without a fight...if everyone dies and no one fights back...they are not remembered...but even if one raises their fist to fight...they will not only be remembered by the people but the villain as well...

Y/n takes a more serious tone

Y/n:I can do that without putting you in danger...I never want to do anything to put you in danger...

Cortana just stares at y/n

Y/n:We should all get some rest...

Cortana quickly appears in y/n's head again as tears exit his eyes

Mei:Y/n?

Cortana...

I won't lose you y/n!

Y/n just smiles a bit

Y/n:She'll be fine...we'll figure out what to do in the morning...

Mei:Alright..just let me know y/n...

Y/n:I will Mei...good night...

They both walk off to their separate beds

Y/n walks to his bed and lays down

How could you say any of that y/n? Y...you know how much you mean to me...!

Y/n doesn't say anything

Because you mean too much for me to lose! And if there is any way I can keep you safe then I'll do it!

You don't know if I can even get hurt!

Then why take a chance! Why should I risk you getting hurt at all!
