this is basically just so i can clear some things up before we begin :)
1. at the top of each chapter, i will tell you what version of photoshop i am using ( cc or cs6 ). i regularly use both versions and i know that some people are only capable of using one of them. most tutorials can be done in both versions. if they aren't, i will tell you.
2. i am using a pc for these tutorials. yes, i do have a mac. i also don't know why i'm using a pc for these. don't judge me. anyways, when i say "control," it is equivalent to "command," on a mac. and when i say "alt," it is equivalent to "option" on mac.
3. these are some basic key commands for shortcuts:
command+t: free transform ( resizing )
command+shift+n: create new layer
command+d: deselect
command+shift+s: save as ( i never use "save" )
command+shift+alt+s: save for web ( mainly for gifs )
4. at the top of most of the tutorials, there will be a speed-art youtube video of the graphic. i did this because sometimes, i'm really bad at explaining things with my words. these videos will be sped up. so, in the description of the videos, i will put the recommended comfortable viewing playback speed. ( you can find the playback speed settings by clicking the three dots in the top right corner of your screen on your phone. ) ( also, subscribe to me. i'm desperate lmao. )
5. if you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to comment them! i can assure you that some things will be confusing. if you're ever confused, just comment :)
6. if you try the tutorial, tag me in it so i can see them! i'd love to see your creations :)
7. please do not steal my graphics. it's really as simple as that. just don't.
8. i do a lot of sports design. mainly hockey. there will be some design tips like that sprinkled in. i'm sorry if that offends you or some shit. i apologize in advance.
9. don't be rude. once again, it's really as simple as that. if you're confused and you're asking me a question, use your manners. if you don't like my graphics or are giving me constructive criticism, be nice about it. i'm done with people being assholes to me.
