The Girl Out of Time

CH 2

We got to the event and found parking. “Now Audre we need to go thank the magician that invited us ok?” He said.

“Ok.” I said with a smile. I looked at the set up and I had a bad feeling about it like something bad is going to happen. We made our way to the set up area were the magician was preparing his tricks.

“Hello Toichi Kuroba.” A man turned around at the sound of his name to see us.
“Ah Jens L. Steen it's good to see you and it looks like you have someone with you this time.” The man named Toichi Kuroba said and looked down at me.

“Oh right this is Audre she is the one i was telling you about.” Jens said while patting my head.

“So she is the little protege that you are looking after then.” Toichi said looking at me.

“Yeah so far every magic trick I have taught her she has picked up rather quickly.” Jens said while scratching the back of his head.

“So have you taught her about detective work as well?” Toichi looked at Jens questionly.
“Ah well yes and she is good at it too.” Jens said.

“Have you been to see the Kudo’s?” Toichi asked.

“No I planned on doing that tomorrow…. she was really excited to see this magic show….”
I stopped listening and started to wander. I made my way to the rollercoaster that was being used for the show. I looked up at the climax and saw some people in black tampering with it. I went to go tell Jens but when I looked back they were gone. ‘I have a very bad feeling’ I thought. I walked up to Toichi and tugged on his pant leg to get his attention.

“What is it Audre?” He asked and looked down at me.

“Um Mr. Kuroba I saw some men in Black tampering with the rollercoaster.” I said in a soft worried tone.

He patted my head. “Oh did you see where they went?”

“No I looked away for a moment and when I looked back they were gone.” I said and held onto his pant leg tighter looking around anxiously.

“Audre are you ok?” Jens asked looking at me worried.

“I have a bad feeling.” At that moment I had a flash of a scene that showed Toichi being blown up on the coaster. At that point I hugged Toichi’s leg out of fear for that scene to come true. “Please don’t Die.” Is what I said while hugging his leg. The two of them looked at me.
“Audre what do you mean don’t die?” Jens who is now very concerned crouched down to my level.

“The Men in black put something up there that explodes and Toichi is going to get caught up in it.” I said thou sobs.

Toichi looked at Jens. “ Is this what you were talking about earlier?” Jens nodded at the question he was asked. Toichi bent down and picked me up. “It’s ok, I don’t plan on dying ... are you that worried?” I nodded and hugged him.

“Don’t go… please.” I cried.

“Jens how accurate are her dream prophesies?”
“Um 100%.... which is why I’m worried.” Jens said with concern. “What should we do?” Jens and Toichi started to come up with ideas that could help get tough this predicament but none would work in the short amount of time they have.

‘At this rate he will die I have to do something…. what that might work.’ I thought and dug into my bag to pull out a vile. “You could use this.” I said wiping away tears. The two looked at me questionly.

“What is that Audre?” They both asked.
“It’s an invincibility potion it gives the person who drinks it invincibility for 24 hours.” I said with puffy red eyes. The two look at each other to think for a moment.

“It’s the best shot we have at the moment.” Jens said. Toichi just nods.

Toichi takes the vile. “So Audre how long does it take to kick in?”

“As soon as you drink it.” I responded.
Toichi hands me off to Jens and opens the vile and drinks it. He hands me back the vile. “Hear you go little miss.”

//////////// Time Skip to Show Time /////////////////

There was a few minutes before the show starts we made our way over to were Toichi said to go there to meet up with someone. “Hey Ginzo!” Jens yelled and a man turn to look at him.
“Jens I see you made it have you talked to Toichi?”

“Yes I just came from there.” Those two started to get into a conversation but I lost interest in it.
“Hay who are you?” A boy with messy dark brown hair asked.

A girl with brown semi messy hair appeared behind him. “Hello, what's your name?” She asked me.

“Um I’m Audre Phantom.” I said in a quiet voice.
“I’m Aoko Nakamori.” The girl said with a smile.
“Well I’m Kaito Kuroba.” The boy said with enthusiasm.

“Hay Audre are you making new friends?” I look up at Jens and nod. “Well this is Ginzo Nakamori he is-“ Jens was cut off.

“Aoko’s dad and Toichi is Kaito’s dad right.” I said with a smile. Jens just patted my head with a smile and went back to talking with Ginzo. We heard an announcement that the show was about to start. Aoko and Kaito were in front Ginzo was behind Aoko, I was behind Kaito and Jens was to my right. The show started and when he was about to hit the fire I quickly covered Kaito’s eyes while Mr. Nakamori covered Aoko’s. After about a minute I heard Jens yell to Jii (Toichi’s assistant) and talked with Ginzo. The three men ran off to be sure he was alright. I still stood there covering Kaito’s eyes. Kaito and Aoko looked at me. “Hay are you ok?” Kaito asked and I put my hands down.
“Yeah I’m fine why do you ask?” I looked at Kaito.

“Your crying.” Aoko said. I touched my face and sure enough I was. I wiped away my tears. After a few minutes of uncomfortable silence Mr. Nakamori came over to us.

“Aoko, Kaito, Audre come here.” We all followed him to the backstage to find Jens and Jii cleaning Toichi’s face and clothes. Kaito ran to his dad and hugged him I walked up to him. Toichi looked at me and patted my head. “Thank you little miss for the help.” He started to pull his hand away but I grabbed it. He went down to my level. “Is there something wrong?” I just put my hand on his pulse point on his neck.
‘A pulse he’s alive’ I smile at that though. I pull my hand away and let go of his hand. Toichi stood back up and started to talk with Jens, Ginzo, and Jii. After who knows how long it turns out Toichi, Kaito, and Aoko will be staying at our place so we can go see the Kudo’s tomorrow.
