Hi. I know no one will read this (I never read author's notes either). I've tried writing so many damn books on this app, but I always end up biting off more I can chew. So I think I'm going to start publishing short stories (less than 10 chapters) so that I won't become discouraged. Similar to one shots, just a tad longer.
The two previous stories I've written years ago I decided to take down because I chickened out, but I got such good feedback from strangers that really enjoyed the little bits I posted, so I feel like I shouldn't give up on myself just yet.
As far as characters are concerned, I don't really like to include pictures of who I believe to be a good representation of the image in my head - sometimes it ruins the experience for the reader. But some stories may have pictures included because the story will be based on a specific person.
I have no idea if I want to publish the short stories as separate books or just under one book with different sections, but l'll see what works best.
