The feeling of losing your powers as you hold a test tube full of a certain liquid with you don't know what in it, as you carry it miles from your unconscious girlfriend's location, in an attempt to bring it back to her and save her, well it's not a pleasent feeling, I'll tell you that..

Even touching the test tube makes me sick, I threw up a couple times walking out of the Hawkins Lab building, this was of course months before it burned to the ground, some local kids talking about strange creatures as they were helping me get it. It makes you wonder what they really were doing in that lab, and what this liquid really contains.

And you're just going to let your girlfriend drink it? I thought, fighting internally with myself.

But the books those nice kids and I saw in there with information on this very test tube, was exactly what the old woman had said and it really will help Syd.

"So where is she anyway?" One of the boys had asked me as a girl with redhair, was letting me lean on her as we walked.

I just held a map out to him with the location of the lab and the old woman's house.

"Old lady Teresa's house? Oh no you gotta get her outta there." I think his name was Mike had said.

"Is Syd in danger?! How bad is this old lady?"

"Very bad, and I think she wants that test tube with power juice in it for herself." I didn't have time to laugh at the Dustin kids joke, too worried about Syd.

"Shit, my powers are draining faster. I can't save Syd on my own." I whispered to myself, upset.

What the fuck am I gonna do..

"We can help. Our friend Eleven has mind powers too, but she can't reverse time, she has the same power as your girlfriend."

I smiled at them.

"I don't want to pull you all into this but there's no one else who I can ask. Thank you so much." I was about to cry, relieved I could save Syd.

"No worries." I heard Lucas say and suddenly I started to fall, the girl Max and Will catching me.

"Ooh, shit. Thanks." I began to cough a bit.

"Look, if I die before we get there please make sure Syd drinks this."

"You won't die! Don't talk like that.."

I smiled weakly at them.

"I hope."

Mike had rode off on his bike to get Eleven, her real name was Jane and they told me all about her. She sounds great.

They began to make theories on how Syd and I have powers.

"Okay, so you don't know anything. You just have them?"

I nodded, struggling to walk.

"But she got hers from her dad?"

I nodded again.

"So he must've been experimented on, maybe at Hawkins.."

Maybe, I thought..

"Do you know anything about your parents, y/n?"

"No. They gave me up and then died in a fire days later."

"Hmm suspicious.."

"Dustin!"

"What? It sounds crazy, they give her up and then days later die in a fire. Now people are after you and Syd.. Someone really wants you too."

He was right of course.

"He's right." I struggled to breathe, my heart getting weaker as we approached the old woman's house, Mike and Eleven joining us.
