It was around noon when joe was woken up by Benjie who had come to lay there next to them. He was constantly meowing as if he was telling "Mom, Dad wake up! I'm hungry."

He saw taylor sleeping soundly and didn't want to wake her up so he quietly got up. Carrying benji to the kitchen, he opened the the cabinet next to the sink. He reached out for the bag of treats and poured them into the bowl for the itty bitty kitty committee. After showering, he made bread toast and woke Taylor.

"uh, what time is it?"
"Its 1 pm."
"Did you make toast?"
"Yeah"
"Aww thank you. Last night was wild"
"Sooo wild"

After Taylor ate the toast and got ready for the day, an idea struck her while they were sitting on the couch.
"Joe, do you wanna go out today?"
"Yeah sure. What's on your mind?"
"How about we go hiking and have a little picnic afterwards?"
"That's great, I can't wait"

They hadn't gone out in months. They just wanted to be a normal couple and didn't want to be on the front page of every newspaper. Preparing for their little date, taylor brought her camera and joe being himself brought food. Placing it in a little purse, they were ready.

On reaching the place, they started making their way up the hill. They made several short stops to rest for a few minutes. It was almost sunset when they reached the top. They sat on a bench close to the edge.

It was getting cold. Taylor started shiver a little. Joe removed his coat and gave it to Taylor. She smiled. He got up. Gathering wood, he started a fire to keep her warm. He was the first person in her life to treat her like a queen and loved her as if she was brand new. She felt like she did one thing right. "I'm gonna marry this guy" said Taylor thinking to herself.

Holding hands and with her head on his shoulder, Taylor took a few pictures of the golden sun before it disappeared. Joe then looking down at taylor, "wanna play tag?"
Taylor looked at him for a second and then quickly started to run. Joe chucking, chased after her. He got close to her and pulled her back. She shrieked.

They fell to the ground and tried to catch their breath while looking up to stars which were shining bright that night. Taylor lifted her hands and tried to catch the stars. Seeing her, he laughed.

Taylor then got up by her arm and looked at joe..
"I have something" she said
"What is it?" Joe asked.
Taylor opened her purse and pulled a velvet pocket from inside. She loosened it and drew out a necklace. It was silver with 'J' christened on the front of it.
"I want to wear your initial on a chain round my neck. Not beacuse you own me, but beacuse you really know me."
Warm-hearted by this, joe smiled.

A tear ran down her check, joe rubbed it. He too started to tear up.
"Your the only one who means the world to me. You see me for me. My heart has been broken a couple of times but every time it got stronger to beat for you" she said. Not saying anything, Joe kissed her and helped her wear the necklace.

"There will soon be a ring on your hand" joked joe. Taylor laughed and added "I'm waiting"

They spent the rest of the evening counting the stars, taking polaroids of each other and eating burnt marshmallows by the fire, giggling and laughing at every joke. At that moment, she didn't care what anyone else thought and let others call it whatever they want. She wanted to be with him at the end of day.
