Chapter 2

Alex had called Kadian, D.C., and Jordan to her dorm room to discuss what she just realised. Kaiden and Alex were sitting on her bed and D.C. and Jordan were sitting on D.C.'s bed. "I think their dating"

"what" D.C. asked

"Bear and Declan"

"oh, why?"

Alex said her reasons and they all agreed "but what are we going to do?" that was the question they were all thinking but it was D.C. who said it

"I don't know"

They kept on coming up with ideas until they settled on getting them together and talking to them, it was the simplest way to talk to them. So, they got them and sat them on Alex's bed. They both looked confused. But they sat there peacefully until Alex spoke up "We know" they look confused but then that went away

"what do you mean?"

"Declan you weren't in your room until late and Bear Jordan told us that you weren't in until late"

"fine, you caught us" uttered Declan

"what are you doing?" hissed Bear

"they know"

"fine"

"were...together"

"ok"

"ok?"

"yes"

"why?"

"you two are perfect for each other"

"ummm...ok"

The rest of the day went as normal.

"I will not let Aven rot in that library," said Lena

"I will get my revenge on that Alexandra Jennings" she hissed Alex's name.

Alex slept with Kaiden again. When she was with him, she completely forgot about everything. She woke up to Kaiden sitting by her side stroking her cheek. "I'm awake" Alex mentioned

"I know" Kaiden responded "I'm just admiring you"

"so are you saying I'm pretty"

"that's exactly what I'm saying," he said leaning down to give her a kiss "now get up or were going to be late and miss breakfast"

Alex groaned as she sat up. Kaiden walked her down to her room and waited outside of the bathroom for Alex to get ready. she came out and they headed off to the food court and sat down with their friends. They got their lollypops and popped them in their mouths. When the results came back Alex mentioned how that last year, she wanted a different lollypop this time. Her friends chuckled at the comment. Nothing had changed in her timetable, not surprising.

The next day her first lesson was combat. Karter made them run laps first up "Pair up" he yelled almost deafening to her meyarin hearing. "Alex, want to beat you boyfriend up?" asked Kaiden

"sure do!" Alex said enthusiastically prompting chuckles from her classmates. They walked over to the swords Alex mentioned how she had a much better one to which Kaiden said it would be cheating. They raised their swords up between them "May the best fighter win" Alex chuckled. Kaiden came at her with the first strike and Alex easily blocked him. She swung her sword to his torso and pushed out her foot tripping Kaiden. She came down with her sword to him and he rolled out of its way just in time, he jumped up and raised his sword to her leg cutting her thigh. "your so gonna pay for that" she said look at the shallow cut

"bring it on"

Alex was going easy on him until then. She swung the sword to his arm and cut it before pulling back. "so that's how you want to play?" Kaiden Asked

"sure is"

He swung his sword at her and she spun out of its way around to his back. She jumped on him and clung to him. He threw her over his head, but much to his surprise she landed perfectly. "oh, it so on" Alex said as she was swinging her sword over and over and constantly cutting him just before he blocked the attack with his sword. After a couple more swings she knocked the sword out of his hands and held hers up to his throat "do you yield?"

"of course baby"

She lowered her sword and became aware of her surroundings. All of the boys were staring at her and Kaiden, and then they started clapping. Then the bell rang, and they started heading to their next class.

The rest of the day went by as normal, until dinner. All of them were sitting at a table and then it went black. "what the hell" Alex was unsure who said but that was sure what she was thinking. "Is this because of Aven?" Kaiden whispered in her ear

"no Aven is still in the painting I ordered him to stay there forever." Alex whispered back.

Then the lights came back on. "Should we go to Darrius's office?" Alex asked her friends unsurely

"yeah" came Bear's reply.

They went to the tower and went inside. They came to his office and knocked "come in" came hid reply.

"oh, Alex I was just about to come to get you"

"Darrius what happened?"

"lockdown"

"we know that, but what caused it?"

"was it Aven?"

"no"

"then who was it?"

"Lena"

After that, they all decided that they should go to bed because it was getting late and was almost curfew.
