*Recap*
They reached the room and the nurse left Mallory, the young girl slowly opened the door and what she found inside made her tremble. Her skin started to turn pale and so did her lips, her heart started beating fast and tears flowed down her eyes nonstop. Her father, her father looked...

----------

Her father, her father looked like a whole new person, he was almost unrecognizable. Half of his head was covered in cloth to stop it from bleeding, his face was swollen because of the impact of the gunshot he took on the side of his head, both of his eyelids were shut tight and were colored in pure violet, even the hospital sheets were bloody red because of him and there he was, lying in it, almost lifeless. This moment immediately stuck into Mallory's mind, she was still as still as a rock beside the door, she couldn't bring herself to walk up to her father. No doubt she's still balling her eyes out, crying immensely without releasing a single sound from her lips. She was shut tight, but her emotions overflowed.

After a few minutes she finally decided to walk up to her father, Mallory carefully leaned closer to him as she started to mumble these words, "Dad... Wha- What happened to you?... You were fine this morning. You- You even called to ask how my day was... An- And now I see you here, almost dead! Da- Dad who did this to you?! I heard that Mo- Mom didn't make it. She died on the spot Dad! I've already called Aunt Eve about it, she was shocked and told me that she'll hurry and go right up to accompanying Mom in the morgue. Bu-But you?! Ho-How did this happen Dad?! Please... Hold on for me! Please!" Mallory fell to her knees, still crying and mumbling things to her father. It wasn't soon enough that the doctor entered the room.

"Are you a relative Miss?" The doctor silently stood beside the weeping girl. Mallory wiped her tears and got up, "Ehem... Yes Doc. I'm his daughter. Please do tell me that you can still save my father. Please tell me that he'll wake up again," she hopelessly glanced to the doctor and back to her father. "We have already cleaned the blood stains from his head Ma'am and a nurse will come by shortly after this replacing the med gauze on his head, we'll also replace the sheets on the bed just to avoid any irritations to the patient," Doctor Wales explained calmly. "So, how about the bullet in his head? Did you take it out yet?" Mallory asked, "Well, here's the problem Ma'am, we have an operating room in the hospital but we are short of people at the moment, meaning that no one of the profession can perform a surgery on your father. We've found no bullets on his head, it went through and out but I'm afraid that we're not able to take out the shards it left inside too," the doctor walked up to Mallory while explaining. "You mean you can't do anything? You're just going to let him die? What kind of hospital is this?!" Mallory exclaimed. "Ma'am we really are not capable of performing an operation on your father right now, please forgive us," Doc. Wales reached out to Mallory trying to reason with her. "Stop with this cr*p! Do you need money to save my father?! Because I can pay you any amount just to help him!" She started to turn red in rage and reached onto her handbag. "Madam please calm down. Our specialist is currently not available, she's out of town for a medical mission, so please forgive us. All we can do right now is to tend to your father until, sigh he reaches his limit," Doc. Wales panicked a little but successfully regained his composure. "Aggh. Fine! Can't I take my father to another hospital who can actually help him?!" Mallory gave an intimidating glare to Doc. Wales. "We- We can actually do that Ma'am but with how much blood your father lost because of how long it took for him to be brought here, I'm afraid he will have a 50/50 chance of making it to his destination. Especially when the road conditions to where you're going is not smooth enough for his head not to keep moving around. He's very fragile right now Miss Willows," Doc. Wales laid out everything needed to be said after Mallory's suggestion. "Fine. Let me think about it, I don't want to be rash when I'm making a decision that will affect my father's life. You can go on with your routine now doctor, I'll be taking a breather here," Mallory decided to sit down opposite to her father, deep in thoughts while the doctor checked on her dad.

Mallory fell asleep for a few minutes but got startled by the sudden knocks on the door. "Who is it?" She stood up and opened the door ever so lightly, "Its Officer Clementon from the local police station Ma'am. I was sent here to investigate on your father's situation after we heard that this accident was a little bit unnatural," Mr. Clementon stood firmly outside the door, waiting to be let inside. Mallory thought to herself,

The police are involved with this now?! What in the world is going on?!
