Rydel POV
I was on the plane to Colorado. We were going over there and staying at Nana and Papas house for Christmas. All of my cousins are going to be there, Which makes me smile.
Another thing that makes me smile is my boyfriend, Ellington Lee Ratliff, he's back at home in California with his family. I've only been apart from him for 4 hours and I miss him so much!
"You okay, Vader?" Riker asked me, I looked at him and smiled, "I'm fine, I'm just missing Elli, that's all" I told him, He sighed "I know, but we're going home on the 27th you'll get to see him and get your New Years kiss" he told me, I smiled at him and put my head on his shoulder.
It has been my dream ever since I was a little girl to be kissed by my one true love when the clock strikes 12 on New Years Eve. It would be the most magical kiss ever. Fireworks would be bursting up in the sky, the whole world would go silent as I enjoy my kiss. We would pull apart and hug. My world would spin around as I hug him, I would bury my head into his chest and he would put his head on top of mine, We would sway along to a slow song after our kiss.
It would be perfect and this year it might happen, because one things for sure, Anything is possible when your dating Ellington Lee Ratliff.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are departing into Denver, Colorado. Please ensure your seat is up right and that your tray is in, Thank you for flying with American Airways. Flight crew please prepare for landing" I heard an echoey voice, I felt someone shook me, "Rydel, Delly, wake up" I heard Riker said, I stirred a bit, I lifted my head off Riker's shoulder and looked around. "What happened?" I asked, "Once you laid your head on my shoulder you fell straight asleep" He explained to me, I rubbed my eyes, "How long have I've been asleep?" I asked him, He shrugged "only for 30 minutes," he told me, "it felt like forever," I admitted.
We prepared for landing, which I hate. I have a fear of falling out of a plane and when your landing it feels like it and that's scares me. I grasped Riker's hand and did my breathing exercises which my doctor told me to do when ever I'm on a plane. That's how bad my fear is, my fear is so bad I have to do breathing exercises. I shut my eyes and prepared for the worst.
We finally landed and the plane parked itself, I still had my eyes shut and I was still doing my breathing exercises. "Rydel we have landed, you can let go of my hand now" Riker said, I opened up my eyes and let go of Riker's hand, He shook his hand and I laughed at him. I do have a hard grip and he should have learnt that by now.
Once we got our luggage and got out of the airport we caught a maxi-taxi to take us to Papas and Nanas house, Once we were all in the maxi-taxi, I got out of my phone and started to text Ratliff.

Me: We're in Colorado, missin' U heaps 😘😘.
ElliBear: Missin' U 2, how was the landing? 😘😘
Me: Terrible, Worst landing ever!!! 😭😘
Ellibear: My poor Delly, 😭 I wish I can be there for U!!! Come home quick, I've got a surprise waiting for you 😘😘
Me: Ooh, what is it? 😘😘
Ellibear: Uh-Uh, can't tell U. I'll Talk 2 U Later, Lov U babe, 😘😘
Me: Lov U 2, Ellibear 😘😘
I closed my messages app and opened up my music app. I pressed shuffle and the first song to come on was it original song, Christmas Is Coming.
Oh Oh, Christmas Is Coming.
Those Elves and Reindeer are running.

I sighed and looked out the window,
I want you by my side, Ellington.
We finally got to Nana and Papas, after playing with my cousins, eating dinner, catching up with the family, I went up to my room to go to bed. My Nana and Papas house is huge, So I get my own room. It actually used to be my mothers old room when she was growing up. So its pink and I love the colour pink.
I opened up my messenger app to see a new message from, Ellington.

Ellibear: hey baby, Mom decided to play Christmas is Coming and Wishlist today, I thought about you during those songs, My Grandmother then asked me what I would love for Christmas later on when I was in the kitchen, getting some coke. I said to her I want some new drumsticks, a t-shirt that says Dibs on the Pianist and for my perfect girl here. She said, I know Rydel is in Colorado for Christmas, But don't worry she will be back in no time if you don't stress about it, But if you do Stress about it, it would take longer.
So I'm not going to stress about you being gone, but of course I miss you like hell and its torture for me not to drag you under the mistletoe and kiss you like there is no tomorrow. But that will have to wait, but don't worry. I've convinced Mon to leave some mistletoe just for us,

Me: Babe, no words can describe what that message meant to me, thank you so much and I'm missing you lien hell as well, but I'm going to take your grandmothers advice as well and not stress over it.

I turned off my phone and set it on the bedside table, I took of my clothes and put on my black track pants and my favourite shirt that says 'Dibs on The Drummer'.
I got into bed and turned off the light, I stared at the ceiling and sighed.

I rolled over and went to sleep, dreaming about my perfect New Years kiss.
