He's actually somewhat smart, well he's the smartest/ least simple mindset of their group, remember the last episode where Tanjirou and Inosuke had no idea what the hell a train was, Zenitsu obviously knew, meaning he knew more about the cities so if Inosuke and Tanjirou got confused he could help :3.
