Amber's POV
Everyone went home that night and told there parents the same story that they were staying at mine and packed a bag. I walked up to my room, layed on my bed just staring at my ceiling replaying the past weekends events in my head. I pulled myself up and went to shower. 20 minutes later, I walk back into my room and get straight into bed. I plug in my phone and fall quickly asleep.
*Next Morning*
I wake up to realise i didn't pack last night. I quickly grab a suitcase throw everything in and zip it up. I race downstairs, grabbed some body spray on the way and went into the kitchen. I fully sprayed myself down and decided to just have some toast for breakfast. Before I knew it, my friends were gathered back in my front room, excited about the trip ahead of us. We had rented a mini van since we thought it would be easier than two cars, I grabbed a backpack and then ran out to it. We began our adventure.
10 minutes later, we pull up to target and I decide to get everything we need for the weekend. I grabbed food, water and a few blankets as well as fire starters and matches. I pay for everything and walk back out to the car. I climb back into my seat and the journey continues.
*Time Skip*
I wake up in a parked van, I look around me to see that we have arrived at the campsite. "Guys, why did none of you wake me?" I ask the gang laughing about. "I don't know you just looked peaceful so we left you." Daniel replies not looking over from building his tent.
"Oh okay so how are we splitting up tents?" I ask.
"Um, couples? that would work easiest I guess." Tate says, Megan nods in agreement. "Babe come help me then." Daniel says to me as he's struggling to set up a tent alone. "Coming." I say jogging over.
20 minutes later, It was starting to get dark so we sent the Corbyn, Jonah and Daniel to go get some wood whilst Zach and Jack finished unloading the car. The girls and I took the food and put in into pots and on racks ready to be cooked as soon as the boys got back.
20 minutes later, each boy came back with a stack full of wood, Zach and Jack took some of it and began to build the fire with the others. Once it was built, I placed some fire starters inside and lit one of them up; the flames gradually spread creating a beautiful fire. I sit back and stare at it for a bit feeling all my troubles melt away. Gabbie places a rack over the fire beginning to cook some hot dogs.
She prepares the buns and places the sausages inside as they cook. We hand them out and begin eating. Once we've eaten, I go into my tent because i was insanely tired and just wanted to go to sleep. Soon after I went in Daniel comes and joins me, "Everyone else has gone to their tents too." I shuffle down and place my head on his chest since he was lying down. We laid there for a while and my eyes began to close so I let them when suddenly a splash comes from outside and all the light is gone from outside the tents, all we can see are two standing shadows. Daniel slowly crawls over to the opening of our tent to look out. As soon as he sees who it is, he opens the tent and storms out. "What the hell are you doing here, you weren't invited, we didn't even tell you where we were going." He shouts at whoever is out there. I look out to see who it is to discover Evie and James standing over the now dead fire. "Damn it's cold out here." I say supposed muttering to myself. "Here." A hoodie is thrown towards me, I don't care who's it is but it looks warm so i put it on and try and warm myself up more.
"See she still wears my hoodies, does she really need you?" I hear James say, I immediately yank off the hoodie and throw it to the ground. I run over to Daniel, "Daniel, Baby, I promise I do need you, I didn't know whose the hoodie was I was just cold, I need you, I really do." I say to him as quickly as I can.
"It's okay Amber, chill." He says slightly laughing. I smile up at him and walk over to Megan and Zach. They hug me as soon as I'm there and I let out tears I didn't even know I was holding. "Why did they have to come? I just wanted a nice break from everything." I whisper in between sobs. "It's okay A." Zach whispers to me, He looks at Megan, They make eye contact and He picks me up. He begins to walk away from the whole scene, Megan following us. He takes us to van for and places me inside, He then climbs in the drivers seat turns on the engine to warm the car and play some music. He plays songs I can remember from our childhood. I sit up only to lay my head on Megan's lap. She plays with my hair to calm me down and before I know it I've drifted off to sleep.
