They had been there for almost three months.

They were both going to get released at the same time.

Which was strange to Murdoc, since he was told he was going to stay there for five.

When he asked about it, they just smiled and said that he had improved faster than they expected.

He didn't believe it, but he took it anyways.

They started to clean up their room.

Stuart taking down his stars.

Murdoc helping with the ones on the ceiling.

On the other side.

Murdoc's side.

He just tidied it up.

He didn't hang anything up.

They were going to leave in two days.

They were excited,

but at the same time,

scared.

They would have to part ways.

Maybe never even see each other again.

However, they didn't like to think about that.

Murdoc laughed at Stuart when he jumped up at the ceiling, trying to get the last star.

"How did you get these up here to begin with?" Murdoc said while laughing.

Stuart panted lightly and gave up.

"I got on my bed, and jumped forward." He said confidently.

Murdoc shook his head while smiling.

"Jesus..."

Murdoc walked over and placed his hand on his shoulder.

He reached up and jumped slightly.

He grabbed the star.

"Hehe, got it."

He smiled playfully as Stuart glared at him lightheartedly.

"Man, you sure are short." Murdoc said in a thick southern accent.

"Shut up, you had to jump too." He chuckled.

He placed the star in the pile of the other ones.

"Do you want to keep them? Or throw them away?" Murdoc asked.

Stuart walked over and grabbed them.

He held them closely, like a baby.

"I want to keep them. It's a reminder."

This made Murdoc smile.

"Can I have one? As a reminder?"

Stuart looked up at him.

Light smile formed on his face.

"Of course." He said softly.

He handed Murdoc his best cut out one.

Murdoc held it gingerly, even though it was paper.

"I'll put it in my box."

Stuart stood back up from putting his stars in his backpack.

"...Box?" He asked.

Murdoc looked down.

"Oh. Yeah, it's um, it's something I bring with me, everywhere. If something is important enough to me, I'll stick it in the box."

"Oh...like a memory box in a way?"

Murdoc smiled while nodding.

"Yeah, something like that."

Stuart zipped his backpack and put it back on the floor.

"Too bad you can't fit in the box..." Murdoc mumbled.

Stuart let out a short laugh while blushing.

He watched Murdoc walk over and grab a small wooden box.

It seemed to look handcrafted.

"Did you make that?" Stuart asked.

"Yeah, I made it in Wood Shops at school. It was a project. I decided to keep it."

Stuart kept his eyes on the box.

Murdoc opened the latch and placed the star in it gently.

Stuart could see a rock, party popper strings, some kind of jewelry -ring or necklace- and a polaroid picture.

He was sure there were more, but that's all he could see.

Murdoc closed the box.

He locked the latch.

"I think that's a good idea, maybe I should do one."

Murdoc chuckled.

"You should. I don't show anyone this, because... well you know why."

Stuart hummed.

He smiled, knowing that Murdoc trusted him enough to show something that was very important to him.

"I would need something from you." Stuart said softly.

Murdoc kept holding his box.

He smiled lightly before looking at Stuart.

"Well..."

He stood up and put his box back.

He put his hands on his hips.

"I don't know..."

Murdoc looked around for a moment before his face lit up.

"I know what I'm going to get you, it's gonna be a surprise." He smiled warmly.

Stuart laughed lightly.

"Okay."

Murdoc sat back down.

They both sighed.

"I don't know what to do now..." Murdoc said.

"Yeah, me either."

A loud beep was heard.

It made Stuart jump.

Murdoc laughed.

"Good Evening all Forms, please head to the cafeteria at this time."

Murdoc and Stuart looked at each other.

They smiled playfully before jumping up and racing to the door.

Murdoc was closer so he got to the door first.

Stuart was trying to open the door and push Murdoc away while giggling.

Murdoc chuckled while pushing him away and got out the door first.

"Damn..." Stuart giggled.

Murdoc chuckled in response.

They headed out down to the cafeteria.

Their last meal...

Murdoc was thinking about holding his hand.

No... that would be too much of a display.
