The clock ticked in the background, voices of students talking as you were waiting enthusiastically for the bell to go. You've already been at school for a week. No one hasn't shown up to take the seat next to you yet, which you honestly thought about asking to move there due to no one else claiming it.
Anyway, back to why you were waiting. One of you friends from last year has invited you to go to an arcade with her. She was now in college due to her being a third year the year before. She may be two years older than you but, you still enjoyed her company. Even though the two of you don't talk much anymore, you still text occasionally or have a quick chat when you see each other in public.
Taking your bag off from the hook and preparing to stand up, the bell rung. In which you got up straight away, ran out the door and down the stairs. You quickly ran down the out the school gates and down the pathway to the same bus stop you always go to. A bus was already there and you figured it was the earlier bus since you ran there instead of taking your time to walk. You clambered onto the bus and took the first free seat you saw, bouncing with anticipation.
You took out your phone and opened up messages, quickly texting here a ' I'll be there soon ' in which she replied with an ' okay '. Turning off your phone, you zipped it up in your bag and pulled it onto your lap. Bouncing your legs up and down due to the energy running through your veins.

The arcade stood right in front of you after a short five minute walk from the bus stop. Turning around a few times, you finally spotted your college friend. Her most noticeable feature was her long peach colored hair since she was standing the other way.
You softly placed your bag down and snuck up behind her as quietly as you could, before jumping up and clinging onto her like the pokemon Komala does. Laughter filled the air as she turned her head around to face you with a wide grin across her face and green eyes glimmering.
" Heya (y/n)-chan! " She beamed as she greeted you, leaning forward a bit so you both wouldn't fall backwards.
Smiling back, you hopped off of her and picked up your bag before greeting her back. "Hi Lai-san! "
She grabbed your hand and began to drag you into the arcade, up to the counter. " So, how have you been? It's been so long! " she asked, taking the bag of tokens from the worker behind the counter and handing over some money.
You giggled at how excited she sounded, it hasn't been that long but it's been a while. You couldn't help by smile though, you did miss her. " I've been alright, thanks! " You answered back, trying to match her enthusiasm.

The neon lights flowed over both of you as the two of you ran around the arcade playing as many games as you could. Taking turns in playing pac-man, you turned around as you threw your arms up high in the air. Hearing your friend cheer for you made you happy, you entered in your initials as you saw them on the leader board.
Soon you saw a somewhat delinquent looking boy with black hair and a bleached yellow-ish blond lock of hair at the front, behind Lai-san. You smiled as you moved out of the way for him and pulled your friend out of the way. The two of you stood behind him and watched him as he played, you had to admit he was pretty good but he did end up dying. He came seventh on the leader board by the looks of it, you congratulated him as he walked off with a slight smile on his face.
Turning back to Lai-san, you smiled as you watched her look off into the direction he walked. She soon turned back and smiled at you, speaking up a few seconds after. " So where to next? We only have a few tokens left! " She said as she pointed at the small number of tokens.
