5: Time To Worry..

*1 Week later*
Everything even since that day was pretty normal between Hajime and Nagito, there wasn't really anything else akward that happened so far.

Hajime's POV: 

I think my "tutor sessions" have been going pretty well with Nagito and all. Right when I woke up I turned on my phone and saw a text from Nagito: "Hey did you know we don't have school today?" I text back, "Well no.. I actually didn't" I guess it's a good thing though, but I don't really know what to do now. I think me and Nagito are friends, I mean, he did sort of call me his friend last week. So I think I'll ask him what he's up to today. "What are you doing today since we don't have school?" He replied almost instantly. "Are you trying to see if I can hang out with you?" Now what do I say, I'll just be honest, "Yeah I guess" He read it right away but he didn't respond until a minute later. "Aw well I would but I haven't been feeling well so i'm probably just going to rest today, sorry!" That was odd he was fine all week? "Oh okay what's been bothering you? Are you sick?" He texted back, "I uh don't know but don't worry about me i'm fine" "Are you sure?" I didn't want to annoy him but I was kind of concerned. "Yes so just move on with your day, I'll be ok! :)"  That smiley face he puts always manages to put a smile on my face.

*The next day (Tuesday) 

I walked into class and I actually was really looking forward to seeing Nagito.. I looked around the class but he wasn't here. Maybe he's just late? I sat down next to Chiaki. "Hi Hajime!" "Hey." Her face turned to a confused experssion. "What's wrong?" Hmp great.. "Nothing wh-" Chiaki smirked, "Let me guess. Does this have to do with Nagito?" "HOW DID YOU- I mean, what makes you say that?" "Hajime, it's pretty obvious you guys have grown sort of attatched to each other lately. You are always texting during class, sitting next to eachother at luch, and you even let him tutor you." "Well that doesn't have to do with anything I uh- he's just a friend okay?" "Look, I honestly think Nagito might have feelings for you Hajime." "GAH why would you say that?!" "Just- I don't know. He's never taken the time to become close with anyone. He doesn't really have friends from what i've seen, but it's also the way he looks at you during class and-" "LOOKS AT ME?" Chiaki looks away, "Pft I always see him sneaking in a stare at you when you aren't looking." "I- uh-" 

"Ok class listen up! Today we are going to have partners since this assignment will be math and some people could use some assistance. If you have a friend here who tutors you please go with them!" Nagito isn't here so.. I guess I'll just tell the teacher. "Um, excuse me?" She quickly turned around. "Hm? Yes Hajime?" "Well as you know, Nagito isn't here today, so what should I do?" "Hmm I guess I could help you out for today." She told me to take a seat and I just worked with her for the day.

*The next day (Wednesday)

I couldn't believe it. Nagito wasn't at school again! He hasn't texted me since Monday, the day we had off. I know he told me not to worry about him... but I can't help but be really worried. I texted him, "Hey where have you been? I'm really worried about you!" I got no response from him though. He didn't even read it. I was sitting in the front of the classroom today and heard the teacher say to herself; "Nagito is still not here? Hmm interesting... this isn't like him." She started quietly laughing. "Ha who am I kidding? I know what's going on." Startled, I jerked my head back. She knew why he had been gone all this time?! That's it- i'm going to check on Nagito and see for myself!
