Jungkook stands in front of (Y/N)'s apartment. He'd dropped her off not too long ago and watched her enter her home, but the male couldn't bring himself to leave the perimeters. He found himself too invested of her... he wanted to know what her words meant and what is the the story behind them. Jungkook had the need to go up to her door and ask, but he knew that it wasn't right- it's too early.
He heaved a deep sigh as he shakes his head violently. He pounded his forehead with his palm again and again, but his thoughts wouldn't dislodge themselves and it's driving him insane.
He remembers her sobbing onto his chest, hands clutching his shirt and jacket like she was being taken away by police who were ordered to throw her into jail forever. That image was ebbed in his mind- especially the memory of him rocking her slowly, attempting to ease her sobbing and wailing, and stop her heavy tears.
Jungkook couldn't bare to see her howling in misery. He's desperate to know how he could help, how he could make her happy, but with the current pace of their relationship, Jungkook became aware that this whole process would take patience, and incredible tolerance to stop himself from making (Y/N) uncomfortable with his neediness.
The vibration of Jungkook's phone went off, snapping him back to reality. Jungkook scoops up his devise from his pocket, spoke into it with slight aggravation, and listened for a moment.
"We need you back at the station," his coworker, Hendery, called in a serious tone.
Jungkook raises his eyebrows and rolled his eyes in annoyance. His shift had already ended hours ago and he expected himself already laying on his soft bed and sleeping the night away, but instead, he's met with a distressed (Y/N) (whom he didn't mind interacting with really) and an urgent call.
"Be right there in ten," Jungkook sternly replied and hang up.

.Jungkook arrived at the station and is quickly greeted with respectful bows from the workers. He navigated himself through the halls with ease, his feet casually gliding across the glossy tiles. He spent thousand of hours within building so it's safe to say that he knows the place like the back of his hand; he could pinpoint and describe certain rooms without leaving a single detail.
"Here are the reports," Hendery handed his superior a khaki-colored folder containing various documents relating to the bombing of the Dionysus Central Building. "One of the suspects relating to the bombing is inside of the investigation room. He refuses to speak to anyone but you."
"I see... anyways we also have to figure this out quick before people get too suspicious with the fake story we sent out to the public," Jungkook rubs his eyes, heaving out a tired sigh. "Turns out 'gas leak' isn't convincing enough."
Hendery gave a quick nod. He directed Jungkook to the right, then veering to the left where the investigation room laid at the end of the hall.
"This one turned himself in. Good luck, Jeon. Children could be a pain on the ass."
"Wait- what do you mean childre-??"
Hendery laughs off as he walks off to the distance. Jungkook screams, ordering for Hendery to come back, but he was already too far that his voice is barely audible from this hectic building.
