A/N- So so sorry for the delay. I have been doing school. Got knocked up and had morning sickness. Now for the holidays I'm able to take a break and maybe get some chapters up. Even with kids still here. So Here is the next chapter.
"Erm, um... Hi." That is all that I could spit out when his eyes were staring at me. I could smell his amazing musk. It is a mix of cloves and oranges. It is the most amazing smell I have ever gotten a wiff of.
"Hi there. I am Skylar. Why do you look so familiar?"
"I um, probably because you saw me at the tattoo parlor the other day?"
"Oh my gosh. Yes! That is right. Can I see what he did?"
"I, well, sure, why not." With that I came around the counter and took my right sleeve up and lifted my arm for him to look. I know that most people that haven't been tattooed yet like to see what the artist has done previously. He didn't stared for a second before he grabbed my arm and sent tingles down it. I stared deeply at him, noticing the muscles in his arms and watched as his face examined every part of my tattoo, even the part that he hadn't finished.
He finally let go and I could still feel the warmth from his hand on my skin. He finally looked me in the eyes and smiled. I started to blush seeing that he saw me gawking at him.
"He does some great work. I am glad that I chose to stop in there to get some from him. How did you find him?"
"Well, I sorta just walked by and said, lets do this. He actually laughed at me and gave me some grief, but that is what made me want to keep with him. He is a great artist and when you keep working with him I feel he just gets better and has great fun with his work."
"That is so amazing. I hope that I can get the same from him. This is my first tattoo and I heard from my friend that he is one of the better ones to get a first one from. That he makes sure that you are comfy and he is a real laid back guy!"
Watching how he reacted about my artist, Ducky, made me giggle and that brought a huge smile to his face. I don't know if he thought I was laughing at him or just me laughing about Ducky. He is a great guy and can be a big jerk sometimes as well. He just makes his smile bigger before I finally stop laughing. A moment of silence falls between us before I hear the Madame scream my name.
"Excuse me, sorry, the Madame must need something."
"Its ok, I was on my way by. Thank you so much for showing me your ink. I hope to see you around?"
"Of course. Thank you."
With that he turned and exited the building. I watched every one of his movements until he was out of sight. In that time the Madame made her way in the main room and begun tapping her toe at me. I turned around and faced her with a straight face.
"Yes, Madame?"
I need you to grab a few props from the supply room please and thank you. Studio B." With that she turned around and went back to the room. I just shook my head as the phone rang and I answered it real quickly. After the call I tried to dash fast in the storage closet to get a few props for the studio. As I was turning around to shoot out of the closet there she was again and I almost plowed her over.
I handed her the props and she took them and walked off with her nose pointed. I don't know why we keep her around she has the worst attitude, but she is a great dancer. Only thing I can think of. I wonder how she is outside of the studio. Wonder if she ever smiles really? Maybe she wont unless you get her liquored up. I may never know.
I walked back behind the desk just as the phone begins to ring. I answer and take care of the clients concerns and questions about the studio and then get back to working on my essay. Madame makes a point to stay away from the rest of the night. I kept myself in my essay and managed to finish up early. That left me time to think about Skylar. He actually wanted to see me again. That made my cheeks blush right back up again. I don't think I have blushed so much over one person.
Before I knew it the studios were letting out one by one and I was waving to the kids and their parents. It was great to finally be done with work. As the last bit of people left the building I walked up behind them and closed the door. I turn around to find Madame just standing there.
"Yes, Madame?"
"Will I be needed tomorrow?"
"I am truly not sure. You will have to wait for a call or call her for yourself she did not specify?"
"I will do that. Have a good night Ariel. Thank you for your help." With that she was out the back door and gone. I let out a sigh and was happy to see her gone. I went around and did my rounds cleaning the studio's, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the mirrors, and then finally tiding the front. It was an hour later before I finally left the building and set the alarm, but I was happy to be out to say the least.
