Harry

I had never been a normal person...

Wow I think that was actually the bluntest thing that I had ever said in my life. Well whatever because I'm really not normal, or not normal in where I live anyways. No one in the rest of the world would take a teenage from London that appears out of nowhere seriously so he was stuck where he was right now. For now anyways. For now he was just stuck working at the small store that sat conveniently at the corner of his street block. He couldn't go anywhere else, he had worked at the store since he was twelve and he had no family to reach out to or to even talk to. There had either ran away or just plain died. Cheery isn't it.

I worked pretty much every hour I can to make money to pay for my small apartment that I live in with my stoner roommate, like 80 hours a week at the same small store that sat on the edge of my street block. It wasn't exactly my plan to be doing this for the rest of my life, it wasn't my plan to drop out of school to have to work because I had no parents to work and make money to pay for the house, it wasn't my plan to have my sister run away and it certainly wasn't my plan to become a full fledged adult at the age of twelve, I'm seventeen now just in case you were wondering. Not exactly legal to live anywhere on my own just yet but somehow every believes my lies that I'm twenty one and just leave me alone.

"STYLES GET BACK TO WORK!!!" my anal boss shouted at me. He was very very well... he was a dickhead. If he saw you stop working he snapped at you and I'm not talking like if some hot guys walks in and you check out his ass, I'm talking about if you stop to catch your breath then he made your life a living hell. I wish that hot guys would walk in here and I could check their asses out, at least then I could work painfully long hours and still have something to keep myself entertained.

"Yes sir" I mumbled back weakly in my subtle London accent. I had watched a lot of American tv when I was younger so I kind of picked up a London and American when I was growing up unlike my boss who talked like he fell out of the urban dictionary's ass and started being a dick. My job basically consisted of stacking the shelves and doing the cashier. I know it doesn't sound too great but it does pay the bills.

I groaned but went and stood behind the counter and served customer after customer, eventually all the faces blur into one, unless there are people that I find attractive, then their faces stand out in the crowd. Or I knew the person that I was serving, speaking off my roommate just walked into the store. "Hey bro" he croaked in his harsh smoke strained voice.

"What's up?" I asked continuing with the conversation.

"I just woke up and I kind of have the munchies from God's green grass if you catch my drift" he chuckled insanely. I think that everyone in the store got what he meant, and also that I was friends with a stoner. My boss was going to have a field day with this new information.

"I think everyone catches you drift dude" I laughed quietly to him.

"What were you staring off in the distance thinking about then?" he asked.

"Leaving England and heading to America" I replied honestly. There as no point in hiding anything from him. I wanted to be a famous singer, he knew that, he lived with me singing first thing in the morning for the past five years so...

"Then why don't you?" he asked while munching on a pack of beef jerky he had bought. I had to seriously stop and think about what he said. He had a point. Why didn't I just move to America? With the amount I worked I had a lot of money saved away so I had room to breath.

I closed and locked the register before literally hopping over the counter and heading straight for the door. "STYLES WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING? YOU HAVE ANOTHER FOUR HOURS YET!!!" my boss shouted at me.

I stopped, chuckled a little to myself and told him plainly that "I quit you pompous asshole" and walked out.
