Our Best Mistake (Rewritten)

Daring woke up the next morning with Cerise by his side soundly sleeping. He didn't wake her up and went to get dressed and meet his parents. Before he left he wrote Cerise a note that said

Dear Cerise,

I'm going to meet my parents. Will call you later.

Love Daring

P.S. will be back

He walked down the path he and Cerise took yesterday to get to the wishing well.

He knew this most likely wouldn't end well, his parents were still getting used to the whole, 'Destiny is no longer important to be successful' thing so yes they were going to be mad but maybe they'd get over it.

He eventually made it to the castle and walked in, talking to the guards as he passed them.

He found his parents in their office. His dad was signing papers and his mom was talking his ear off.

He proceeded to knock on the door and his dad opened it with a huge smile.

"Daring my son, how are you"he said doing this handshake thing

"I'm good, and yourself"said Daring

"I'm just great, your mother was just talking about you"said his dad

"Yes my baby boy"said his mom hugging him

"I actually wanted to talk to you guys if you're not busy"said Daring

"Of course not, we always have time to listen"said his dad sitting in his office chair

"Ok, I'm just gonna give it to you guys straight, I messed up"said Daring

"Messed up how"asked his mom

"I might've gotten a girl pregnant on accident"said Daring

"Daring Isaiah Charming, we raised you better than that"said his dad trying to remain calm

"I know, but Kitty switched the tea for alcohol at a party, so it wasn't totally my fault"said Daring

"Well, regardless of what we think, it isn't about us, theres a baby at stake"said his dad

"Yes, so while your father and I are away for the next week, we will try to wrap our heads around this and see what we can do, but for now tells us everything"said his mom

Daring told his parents everything that happened that night at the party up until that moment.

"Oh Godmother, how about, next weekend, you bring the girl who you got pregnant, so we all can discuss next steps"said his dad

"Speaking of her, who is she"asked his mom

"Mom you know her well, she is Red Riding Hoods daughter"said Daring

"Red was my best friend in high school, at least my grandchild will not be with snooty strangers"said his mom excitedly

"Thats really all I needed to talk about other than I'm taking full responsibility and stepping up as the father"said Daring

"That's good to hear, we did raise you right"said his dad

"Well, I gotta go, Cerise is probably worried about me"said Daring hugging his parents

"Ok be safe"said his mom

"I will"said Daring

"And tell Red I say hi"said his mom

"I'll see you next weekend son"said Daring dad once again doing their handshake

"See you then"said Daring leaving

He was happy his parents were able to look passed his mistakes and were excited about the baby. He took out his phone and called Cerise.

"Hey Daring, what'd your parents say"asked Cerise

"They were pretty excited, especially my mom when she found out you were her best friends daughter"said Daring smiling

"My mom is always talking about her, so what else"said Cerise

"They have a business trip this week but they want us to visit next weekend to devise a plan"said Daring

"Ok sounds good, lets talk more once you get here"said Cerise

"Ok, I'll be there in twenty"said Daring

"Ok bye"said Cerise

"Love you"said Daring hanging up the phone
