The young albino Senju was sitting in a tree with one leg dangling over the side and the other her arm was resting on top of while she took a sip of tea looking at the green leaves of the trees around her feeling her brother's chakra since the moment he woke up.
“Touka.”
The boy’s stock face remained blank but he nodded and she sighed, setting down her cup of tea and landed lightly on the ground without so much as a sound.
She blocked his hand with her arm and sent a punch his way with her opposite hand. He dodged backing away ready to throw another one at his twin before a loud voice stopped them both.
“Touka! Tobirama!” Their youngest brother Itama had called. “Father wants to talk to you.”
The twins looked back at each other once their brother disappeared from sight.
“Let’s not keep him waiting,” Tobirama muttered as he put down his fist. Touka on the other hand swept her foot under his legs making him fall onto his back.
“Let’s.”
He glared up at her and tried to kick the back of her knee but she moved before he could.
He grumbled but stood up on his own and started walking towards their house, Touka trailed a little behind him. He closed the door behind him so she had to open the door and close it behind her.
“You called for us, father?” Tobirama said after both twins were kneeling on the floor of their house in the main room meant for meetings.
“Tobirama, I have a mission for you.” He said as he handed a scroll to him and while the boy started reading he turned to his daughter who hadn’t moved an inch. “There is something that I need you to do.”
“Of course, father.” He motioned for her to follow him, so she stood up from the floor and followed him to a map hanging on the wall. Tobirama and Touka made eye contact for a couple of seconds before returning to what they were doing.
“I need you to do some scouting, you just need to go around our territories and make sure there is no Uchiha presence, and if there is, send a message and wait for further instructions.”
“Where should I start my search?”
“The outer eatern villages, but I don’t want you to start until everything is in order.”
“Yes, father.” After he handed the girl a scroll the pair left the room and as they did, they saw Hashirama walking towards them, but he didn’t say anything and just kept looking ahead.
Tobirama looked at her for a moment before placing his hand on her back causing her to look at him he nodded and she nodded back so he walked out the door to begin his mission, Touka instead walked over to her room that was connected to Tobirama’s room, the only thing separating them was a sliding paper door, something their father had done incase of assassination attempts but that is very unlikely.
A maid followed the girl into her room without a word. Touka glanced at her, causing the maid to bow her head in respect for the princess. The girl dipped her head acknowledging her respectfully.
“Is there anything I can do for you, Lady Touka?”
The girl looked around the room trying to give the maid an answer, her eyes landed on the Chabudai to the left side of her room.
“I could use more scrolls and ink, if possible.”
“Of course, Lady Touka.”
The woman left and the young senju sighed sitting down on her favorite cushion, putting her hands on her knees as she meditated. The maid came back a few minutes later, noticed her calm form and put the scrolls on the once bare table and exited the room, Touka made sure to remember to thank her later.
Her pale red eyes opened after a little while when she heard her older brother tapping on the door. “Come in.”
The door slid open and Hashirama came inside and sat down on a cushion across from her so he was facing her. “Is there something you need, elder brother?”
The boy looked towards the door and in a low voice asked. “Is there anyone around?”
It clicked that he didn’t want anybody to know what he was about to tell her. “No one is around.”
“Not even, Tobirama?”
“He’s on a mission for father.”
He settled down. “I wanted to ask you something.” He paused just for a moment to debate if he really wanted to say it or not. “I'm going out for a little while today and I was wondering if you could cover for me.”
She looked him in the eye. “Of course, but can you at least tell me you're going to be careful?”
Hashirama smiled and rubbed the back of his neck, he knew he came to the right person.
“It’ll be fine I’m just going to go see my friend.”
“Alright as far as I know you have gone out to train.”
“Thank you, Touka.”
“And make sure to avoid going to the east. Father believes there is some uchiha resistance around there.”
“Right, I’ll be back tonight and I’ll bring you plums.”
She smiled slightly as he stood up and left the room, leaving her in the comforting silence of her room.
'A friend…?'
