TAKING A BREAK WAS DEFINITELY WHAT THEY NEEDED TO ENJOY THEMSELVES AND BEING TOGETHER. Kevin had gotten engaged and married to Danielle and after he was married, his priorities shifted a little bit, him and Danielle did a reality tv show called "Married To A Jonas." It was his thing but it got weird when the family showed up. Joe and Nick didn't like the idea of the reality show dictating who they were or having cameras at the meeting when their lives have always been a closed meeting. Elisa, on the other hand, wasn't sure about how she felt about the tv show. But when the boys decided to get back together, things... things weren't the best.
Watching her best friends get frustrated that nothing seemed to be working and that the brothers basically hate each other, losing sight of the fact that they did this just to have a good time. It was clear that a break was needed for the boys to discover who they were again and to find that feeling for the boys to discover who they were again and to find that feeling where they did this just to have fun. As for Elisa, every time she tried to write a song, she'd come up empty and obviously, she was blocked, not sure of what to write for her music. After all that success, the four of them were clearly struggling and frustrated.
"I can't do this, Eli. I feel like I'm a has-been. I'm going here, Joe's going there, and Kevin's over there." Nick told his best friend as the two sat around in the room that they were staying in.
"Maybe you guys need a break, Nicky. You know, to reduce the frustration and that way, it'd be easier for you guys to bring the band back again." Elisa suggested.
"Maybe. Joe and Kevin are probably seeing that this is where it's heading too." Nick said, assuming that his brothers are talking about needing a break too.
"You sure?" Elisa asked.
Nick nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure."
"Whatever happens, Nicky, I'm always here for you three." Elisa told her best friend, letting her green eyes fall into the gaze of his black eyes.
Nick thought that his brothers can see them heading towards a breakup. He had no idea on how wrong he was.
Joe and Kevin really didn't see this coming.
So, Elisa was on her laptop with her guitar in her hands and her notebook next to her laptop in one room while in the other room, her best friends were having a meeting. Little did she know was that it will be the last time she sees Kevin and Joe till who knows how long.
"So, I called you guys here cause as you guys know, things haven't been the same and I'm just gonna do this quick. I think the Jonas Brothers should be no more." Nick said seriously, Kevin and Joe were still processing this — especially Joe since he and Nick were as "thick as thieves" and this was all he's known, he thought that the four of them were in till the end. "The band should be no more. I wanna do things without you guys and I made up my mind." Nick continued, his whole demeanor completely off.
"Wait— what do you— what?" Kevin asked, finally saying something.
After a few moments of silence, Joe finally spoke up. "I have nothing to say to you."
The meeting kept going on and Joe just finally snapped, he was being tore on the inside. "You get one taste of a solo career and it makes you forget all of the hard work that we put in this band together as brothers." Joe said, clearly being destroyed on the inside by the sudden news. "You want to be done? Fine, we're done."
That's when Kevin knew the band was over. One meeting and it changed everything for the three of them.
After the news spread of the Jonas Brothers break-up, it was official. The Jonas Brothers wasn't a band anymore, the three brothers heading off in different directions. The first time they even saw each other since the break-up was when Kevin and Danielle had Aleena before they went in different directions again, never seeing each other and never planning to come face-to-face with each other ever again. During this, Elisa couldn't help but feel like she was standing on a railroad that had three different directions and she had no idea what to pick cause there was a chance where she could possible lose her best friends. The thought of that happening was something she truly didn't want.
At first, Elisa did manage to keep in contact with Kevin and Joe, but one by one, they slowly lost contact till... they lost contact for good. Elisa would be lying if she didn't say that she felt abandoned and angry with Kevin and Joe. After everything that they went through, it felt like it was over between them and that all those years between them didn't even matter to them anymore. As for Nick, he lost his two older brothers and two of his best friends because of the band breaking up. The only best friend he had with him still was Elisa, the two of them being all what they had left within the music world.
Elisa was angry with Kevin and Joe when they just lost contact but then, her anger vanished and turned into sadness from losing two of her best friends slash older brothers. Like Nick, she focused on her music and now, after the break-up, the only best friend she had left was Nick, but this time, her feelings for him continue to grow.
And now, it was only Nick and Elisa within this world of music together.
