"Welcome Home." the soft spoken old woman said as she opened the door to my new apartment.
I smiled and followed her inside the small apartment. The high walls and colorful paint gave it a bigger feel, and I loved every inch of it. I set down my bags in the main entryway and thanked Mrs. Garner for showing me in. She smiled warmly and patted my arm as she walked out.
I looked around my new home and couldn't help but smile. I went and explored for the second time. I hadn't really gotten a good look of the place during the open house, but I fell in love with it instantly. After the initial entryway. There was a large living room to the left, and the kitchen was to the right, along with a small bar that separated the two rooms. Straight past the living room was a small half bathroom, that also held the washing machine. Walking up the stairs that were to the left of the bathroom door, I found my master bedroom that included a master bath. Down the hall was a small full bathroom, and a spare bedroom that would hold my photography items, including my 3 cameras, white backdrop, green screen, multiple lights and tripods.
I bounded back down the stairs to retrieve my first three bags from the main hallway, after leaving them at the bottom of the stairs, I walked back outside to the street to get the few bags I had driven from Coventry to London with.
I carried the last 4 bags upstairs and unpacking what was needed in my room, I called my Dad to see how far away he was.
"Hey Madison!" he answered on the first ring.
"Hey Daddy-O, how far out are you? I need a bed sometime soon."
"I'm about 15 minutes from the apartment. Dont worry. You won't be without a bed or a couch." I could tell he was smiling.
"Alright, I'll meet you outside in a little bit."
We hung up and I started putting my toiletries on the bathroom counter before going downstairs to help my Dad and brother Alex bring up my furniture

After an hour and a half of hauling up a couch, my bed, two nightstands, side tables for the couch and two tv's, I was alone again for the first night. With a non-existing food supply in my kitchen, I decided I would go get some takeout for dinner.
I grabbed my shoulder bag and my keys from the bar and headed down the street to the small Chinese take out restaurant about a block away. I looked all around me as I walked, taking in the sights of London. Being about a fourth of a mile from the heart f
of London, there was a lot going on. Small shops, restaurants, sidewalk venders... I had to make it a priority to come take pictures tomorrow.
I walked in and immediately smelled homemade fortune cookies being made. After ordering a quart of Chow Mein, I only waited about 5 minutes for my dinner to be ready. Glancing at my phone and checking my twitter as I walked, I soon realized how much I wasn't going to miss home. Crazy girls posting half naked pictures of themselves, and all of the "I just wish a guy would love me." tweets wouldn't be missed. I made the rash decision to delete my twitter and make a completely new one. New town, new Madison, right?
Walking back into my house I sat on the couch and started devouring my noodles. Flipping through the channels on tv and looking at my photos on my computer, I heard a loud bang on the wall that adjoined my apartment with the one next door. All we shared was a wall and a fire escape. The banging continued and I heard a few men yelling and arguing.
"Oh, just great. I have loud neighbors." i rolled my eyes and decided to call it am early night at 9:00.
Curing up in my bed, the yelling finally quieted into giggling and a loud video game, which quickly lulled me to sleep.
