The air seemed to carry the scent of a delicate perfume that wrapped around me like a comforting embrace. As I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was the sight of my gorgeous man, peacefully asleep beside me. His tousled hair lay like a dark halo around his head, inviting me to run my fingers through its silky strands. Unable to resist, I brought my hand to his head, gently shuffling his hair with a tender touch. The texture beneath my fingers was incredibly soft, almost like a luxurious caress. A smile tugged at my lips as I marveled at the sensation, relishing in the simple joy of the intimate connection.

"My soft boy," I thought, my heart swelling with affection. The term felt like a secret, endearing nickname that encapsulated the vulnerability and warmth I saw in him, especially in the quiet moments of slumber. I couldn't help but chuckle at my own sentimentality. Just seeing him sleeping makes me drool, I laughed softly, acknowledging the adorable effect he had on me, even in the most ordinary moments. Leaning in, I pressed a soft kiss on his forehead, savoring the sweetness of the gesture. As I gently lifted his arm, his features softened in response, and I found myself lost in the details of his peaceful expression.

My fingers delicately traced through the strands of his hair, a silent expression of the love and tenderness that had silently grown within me. A warm and contented smile played on my lips as I reveled in the quiet intimacy of the morning. It was a moment suspended in time, a snapshot of connection and affection that whispered of a deeper connection. And as I gazed at the man before me, I couldn't help but wonder if, in the gentle dance of these simple gestures, I was indeed falling in love with him.

As I lingered in the question echoing in my mind, I couldn't resist the magnetic pull drawing me closer to him. As I inched closer, contemplating the depth of my emotions, a sudden shift in movement jolted me from my thoughts. His eyes fluttered open, meeting mine in a moment of shared surprise. Before I could utter a word, our lips collided in a sweet, unexpected kiss. It was as if the universe conspired to answer my internal question with a soft, wordless affirmation. The warmth of the kiss enveloped us, and for a fleeting moment, time seemed to stand still.

As we parted, Irwin's eyes sparkled with a mixture of amusement and genuine affection.

"You really like to kiss me?" he teased, drawing me closer by wrapping his arms around my waist. His touch felt reassuring, as if confirming the unspoken connection that had been growing between us.

A blush tinted my cheeks as I stammered, "I...I didn't mean to. It just...happened." Irwin's laughter resonated in the room, a comforting sound that eased the tension.

"No need to apologize. I rather enjoyed the wake-up call."

The realization of the situation dawned on me, and I couldn't help but express my surprise.

"Wait, what am I doing on your bed?" I asked, a mix of shock and curiosity in my voice.

Irwin's grin widened, and he playfully pulled me even closer.

"You grabbed on my arms, you wanted me to stay with you as you are scared of thunderstorms, you asked if you could stay here, and who am I to say no to a beautiful woman seeking comfort?"

His words melted away my confusion, I couldn't help but smile, appreciating both the spontaneity of the moment and the genuine care he had shown.

"Jerk," I repeated, but there was a playful tone in my voice.

The room was bathed in the warm glow of the bedside lamp, casting a soft ambiance over the cozy space. The air was filled with the scent of the ocean breeze, a reminder of our recent arrival in Cape Verde.

"Only for you, princess," Irwin teased, his words lingering in the air.

His tone was lighthearted, and he seemed to enjoy the banter between us. Despite the unexpected room arrangement, there was a sense of camaraderie that made the situation more amusing than awkward.

As I hurried to the bathroom, feeling the need for a cold shower to invigorate myself, I hastily stripped off my clothes and turned on the faucet. The cold water hit my skin like a refreshing shock, waking me up instantly. I quickly lathered up my hair with shampoo, relishing the cool sensation against my scalp. The weather outside seemed to be in a state of transition, neither too hot nor too cold, prompting me to opt for comfort in the form of shorts and a crisp white shirt. Wanting to add a touch of whimsy to my outfit, I reached for a delicate white pearl bow and secured it atop my head, the perfect accessory to complement my attire.

As I finished up in the bathroom, the enticing aroma of my aunt's heavenly coffee wafted through the air, enticing me with its rich fragrance. The combination of the cold shower, fresh attire, and the promise of a warm cup of coffee filled me with a sense of anticipation for the day ahead. With Irwin nowhere in sight, I settled into a comfortable spot and pulled out my phone or laptop to catch up on emails. Even though I was away from home, the demands of work couldn't be ignored. As I sifted through my inbox, I couldn't help but appreciate the peaceful ambiance of my surroundings, the gentle hum of morning activity filtering in from outside.

Despite the intrusion of work into my leisure time, there was a sense of satisfaction in being able to stay connected and productive, even while away. With each email read and responded to, I felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that I was keeping things moving forward even in the midst of a change of scenery. As I continued to work through my tasks, the aroma of my aunt's brewing coffee served as a comforting backdrop, blending seamlessly with the rhythm of my morning routine. Despite the inevitable interruptions of daily life, there was a sense of contentment in the simple pleasures of a quiet morning and the steady progress of my work.

As I was engrossed in my emails, my phone suddenly rang, alerting me to an incoming video call from Jasmine. I quickly answered, greeted by her familiar face smiling back at me through the screen.

"Well, hello there, gorgeous," I greeted her with a playful grin.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of this surprise call?"

Jasmine chuckled, rolling her eyes playfully.

"Oh, you know, just couldn't resist the urge to brighten your day with my dazzling presence."

"Ah, of course," I replied, feigning nonchalance.

 "How could I possibly resist?"

Jasmine's laughter echoed through the call before she leaned in closer, a mischievous glint in her eye.

"So, I have some news for you. Romeo and I have a conference to attend soon."

My eyebrow quirked up teasingly.

"Ah, the infamous Romeo. Always popping up at the most opportune moments. Should I be worried about you two plotting world domination together?"

Jasmine's playful smirk mirrored mine.

"Oh, you know us, always up to no good. But don't worry, you're still my favorite partner in crime."

I chuckled, feeling a surge of warmth at her words.

"Good to know. Just don't forget about me when you're hobnobbing with all the big shots at the conference."

"Never," Jasmine assured me, her tone sincere.

"You're irreplaceable, darling."

The events of the evening flashed through my mind as I sat up on the bed. Aunt Babei's warm welcome, the late arrival, and the assumption that Irwin and I were a couple. We decided to play along, not wanting to create any unnecessary tension or explanations. She already has a room for us adorned with subtle island decor, had a quaint charm to it. The single bed we found ourselves on was surprisingly comfortable. I couldn't help but chuckle at the irony of the situation. Aunt Babei's intentions were undoubtedly pure, but her assumption had led us to this amusing predicament. I had a good sleep what else can i ask for right? These few days here will determine my situation to hold on the CEO position, with a deep breath i entered the kitchen smiling.
