Her sultry voice rang in my head as her tender touch sent me to a sudden bliss; my lips against hers, her lips against mine. Tangled in our own lies we shared another night filled with lustful acts; I gracefully ran my finger tips along the core of her slim figure sending a bolt of chills down her porcelain skin. I felt her steady breathing vibrate off my bare chest as her sweet strawberry smell relaxed every bone in my body; she was mine, she has always been mine since the moment we laid eyes.

"Babe..." she rasped.

She lifted her body to face my hazel like orbs, "yeah?" I asked as I ran my hand down her dark brown locks; she was scared, the fear in her face was written all over.

"We need to leave" she blinked while quickly lifting her body of the tainted mattress, "...right now" her hands shook with dread as she tried to put her denims back on.

Without a word, I soon followed in putting my clothes back on; motel after motel we never seemed to have a moment in peace, the fear running silently through our bodies didn't allow us to settle down. We were like Bonny and Clyde running from the mistakes we seemed to mark in this journey we call life, loving her wasn't a mistake though...her marrying my brother was.

"We run because we have something worth running for" she whispered into my ear as we hid in the shadows of a dark alley, I tightened my grip around her waist as those words sent a sudden chill down my spine; one minute she's a terrified little girl, the next she's a goddess that knows the exact ways to control a man..."do you trust me?".

"Why would you ask that?"

I looked down to see the moonlight hit her face perfectly, "just answer me".

"I trust you" I reassured her.

"Than wait here while I go back into that motel room and get your mothers ring before he does" her eyes dropped to the ground as she watched my face tense at the thought.

"I fucking told you, you mean more to me than that ring" I whispered harshly, "I'm not going to risk him finding you for a ring that can easily be replaced".

"Nick..."

"Selena, you could never be easily replaced" I murmured as the sound of his car starting echoed through the silent land.

She was ready to run back into that motel, I could feel it; "please baby, don't do it" I mumbled into her hair. She was always the type to follow her gut, and her gut was screaming to go back into that room and get the ring that had so much sentimental value to me; I felt her struggle under my grip but eventually she freed herself and ran towards our room. Every second felt like hours, every minute was a torture; but soon enough I heard her tiny footsteps running towards my direction.

"He's behind me" I felt her petite hand wrap around mine as we ran towards the dark forest.

The thud of his heavy footsteps seemed to be right behind us but the sound of our deep breathing made it impossible to tell; I pulled Selena behind a tall enough bush to hide from the man she called her husband and I called my brother.

"I love you" I forced her lips against mine as I held her tightly around my arms, "don't you ever forget that".

"We run till our last breath" she whispered into the dark night.
