Sunday morning was just like any other usual routine. I woke up, showered, got dressed in a baggy soccer shirt and shorts, and headed up to the school. Walking and still slightly limping while the soccer bag was on my back and my ball in my hand.

The streets were busy this morning as the endless amounts of cars zipped and zoomed passed me. It made the cold morning air around me reak of gasoline. I didn’t mind. However when one of the cars pulled up next to me I started to get tense.

"Bambi!" I heard a familiar voice call out from a rusty convertible.

Grimacing, I turned to face the car. “Hello.” My hand slowly waved to Jai who was smiling at me from the drivers seat.

"I didn’t know you played soccer." Jai shouted at me over the constant zoom of the cars passing by.

I just nodded my head.

"Well," he started, "I am having a party tonight I would love to see you there."

"I can’t." I immediately said after he was done talking. "I am hanging out with Harry today."

Jai snorted, “You two, like, dating now?”

"Yes we are. Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go practice." Rolling my eyes I walked away from his car, limping along as fast as I can.

"What a big heart to match that big ass of yours." Jai shouted from his car and sped off, his laughter bellowing above the rumble of his engine.

Mutters of curses and insults were under my breath as I continued to walk down the street. Now I understand why Harry didn’t like Jai, he was a dick. However his voice at the party, tempting, making me give in to the drug. (I mostly did it to get a reaction out of Harry. I don’t know why though.)

Buzzing came from my pocket and I brought out my phone seeing that Harry was calling me.

"Hello?" I answered, still walking towards the school.

"Where are you?" Harry’s voice was low and raspy over the phone making chills go up my spine.

"I’m almost at the school’s field. Why?"

A pause after my question made me worried for a second then Harry spoke again. “Why are you walking to go practice when you are injured?”

"Harry I’ve had worse injuries before. Plus, I need to practice for the tryouts." My voice was pleading almost because I knew Harry would drive over and baby me.

"Tryouts aren’t for another couple months." Harry practically huffed over the phone.

"That’s why I gotta start training and practicing now. Even when I’m injured." I took time to admire my persistence and how well I was holding up. Now walking across the field and setting my stuff down in the grass, wincing slightly at the pain but clenching my jaw to just carry on.

Harry groaned, “I’m coming to the field. See ya soon Elle.”

"Au revoir." I said before hanging up.

Before I start training I always stretch and run but because of my knee I just did a light jog around the goal on the opposite side of the field. When I came back I saw Harry, his fringe across his forehead and his green eyes more vibrant. His nose was tinged red because of the cold morning air and his hands were stuffed in his school sweat jacket. He looked as amazing as ever even when he doesn’t even try.

When I half jogged- half limped over to him he engulfed me in a warm hug. Sparks ignited in my heart at the touching gesture but was even more taken away when he pulled back and pressed his lips to mine. Every time, I always seem to melt in his arms. Closing my eyes and taking in the soft feel of his lips moving against mine. It felt almost too good to be true.
