As Xander arrived at the training room he had a thought. What kind of training would he even need at an orphanage? There were only really 3 rules, live, don't die, and most importantly survive. So what was this? Telling him it isn't survival of the fittest? That he would need to share? He chuckled at the mere idea of it as he walked into the room. The very definition of human in itself is to survive after all. He looked around him, only to find that there was nothing there, just like he entered a void. He looked around and felt the same tingling sensation from earlier. Suddenly the world collapsed, or "loaded in". This room, it gave off a presence, like it was alive. Was it?

"Welcome to your 'training' Xander" A voice muttered from across the room. "Today, I am in need of a magical assistant," He looked stern, eyes locked on Xander, and took out a

"Stick?" Xander looked at it closely, it was indeed a stick, but it had some designs on it. There were, runes? That was the closest way Xander could describe it, just like in the fantasy books. One thing he noticed, however, was the ever-present tingling in the air, like static electricity.

"This," The man said, "Is for you." Xander looked in astonishment then disappointment, after all, what the heck is he going to do with a stick? Xander then proceeded to grab the stick and decided to swing it around, only for the room to be shrouded with rain clouds.

"What the -" Was all Xander said before water rushed over him and pulled him under.

"Ghahahah" Xander gargled when he saw the storm clouds producing light. "Oh g---" Was all he could mutter before everything turned black.
