"Clementine, you okay?" Caper asked. I lifted my head out of deep thought and wiped my tear away. "Yeah. I'm good." I said as I walked towards the last jeep.

Everyone caught up to me and loaded up while Rick got in the driver seat. I sat in the front passenger seat and I looked at Rick as he started up the car. He knows. He didn't have to say anything, he was the first one I saw when I came back from my senses, looking at me.

He started to drive to the evacuation settlement we made with the Kingdom. After we dealt with the saviors, we took some of its members with us who wanted to come and let the others free and killed many who still opposed us. Its not the most reliable place but its great for emergencies. We have the ex Saviors there protecting it and supplying it.

Its was gonna be a long ride and so I closed my eyes and tried sleeping but I couldn't.

"Daryl, what happened in there?" Rick asked. Daryl responded with a grunt and looked away. "These damn things." Daryl said in disgust.

"Franky's gone. It's never easy. I'm sorry brother." Rick apologized. Daryl stayed silent.

"Clem, did you ever go through this? A place becoming overrun?" Cameron asked.

"No place I've ever been was home to me. Yes, I had many temporary places become overrun, whether because of walkers or because of people. Even at the very start." I answered.

"Sounds like a lot. I remember when me and Rick almost was turned into food and we let those people be food for a ton of walkers." Daryl giggled a bit.

"Why does that sound so familiar?" I laughed. "Care to share?" Carol asked.

"Okay, it was very early into the outbreak. I think three months? We were set up at a old motel and it was good for awhile. Well, until we were running out of food. While two people went grocery shopping, they found a guy named Mark at a old military pit and he had a lot of food. So, they convinced him to stay with us, we needed food and he needed protection because everyone he knew was gone." I started.

"Didn't last though huh?" Rick asked jokingly. "Nope." I responded laughing.

"One day, Lee, Kenny, and Mark went out hunting. Lee had told me that he had found a teacher and two students. The teacher was caught in a trap and he had to cut the guy's leg off while walkers were swarming. The two students, Ben and Travis were cowards. Travis got himself killed and Ben was filled to the brim with anxiety. They brought Ben and his teacher back. Kenny's wife was a Ventenarian, so she tried to save the teacher but he died and tried to kill her and Lee had to put a axe to his face." I continued.

"Then, a two men showed up with a basket of biscuits. So, they wanted gas in trade of biscuits. The group decided to visit their place... A dairy farm. I had went with them and some people stayed behind. At first, I thought it was really beautiful and safe. That was until dinner. Andrew, one of the men was introducing me, Kenny's son Duck, and his wife a cow who was pregnant. I had told Lee about it and the Salt Lick. He had asked me "Did you lick it?" I said "I don't know." I mean of course I did." Everyone laughed.

"Moments later, it was dinner time and Andrew escorted us to the family house. As soon as I walk in, I noticed a part of the house boarded up next to the stairs. They sat us down and their mother started setting plates down. Lee had came in and the mother told him to wash his hands from being out with Danny, the other brother, and doing chores. Instead he found something terrible. He rushed down stairs and before I put the food in my mouth, he yells for everyone to stop and told us that he found Mark with both his legs cut off and that we were about to eat him." Everyone fell silent.

"Then, Lee exposes everyone, they knocked him out and put me, him, Kenny, Lilly, and her father Larry into the meat locker and locked us in. While Lee was looking for a way out, Larry had a heart attack and Kenny thought he was gonna die and turn. So, Kenny bashed Larry's head with a Salt Lick. Lee had found a way out and I had to climb through an air duct to get to the other side of the door. The part of the locker where they cut and clean the meat was bloody and scary. I unlocked the door and Lee left me with Lilly to mourn her dad." I continued.

"Long story short, Lee kills Danny, Mark turned and killed the mother and saved Kenny's wife. Kenny got shot and Lee almost punched Andrew to death. It was storming outside. They had a wired fence so walkers can't get in, since it was raining, it didn't work and walkers flooded the place after we left back for the motel." I finished.

"Wow, Daryl she got our cannibal story out matched." Rick said.

"How old were you?" Michonne asked. "I was eight at the time." I answered.

"Definitely out matched." Daryl said.

Everyone laughed.

"So Rick, are we going to stay at the settlement for now or be with the Kingdom?" Caper asked.

"For now, at the settlement. I'll have to check in with Ezekiel about moving to the Kingdom. There are Oceanside refugees there still until they are moving to Hilltop. I know Gabriel is speaking with him as we speak about moving them to make way for us." Rick said.

"Are the plans for making the Sanctuary into New Alexandria still being discussed? Or even proposed to Maggie and Ezekiel?" Michonne asked.

"I hope, it's big, well guarded. We can make use of it." Cameron said.

"I have brought up the topic before. Right now would be the time to start that plan since we can't go back. Maggie and Ezekiel would have to agree to help out. I think they would. The reason they put it off is because it's risky to supply the settlement and help build up the Sanctuary. Hilltop is not part of the settlement in terms of supply and defense so maybe Maggie would be the one to set things up with us." Rick said.

"Makes sense. And remember, we have Prescott and who knows, maybe there is other places with people beyond them." I said.

"We could use the people and resources. Though, they are a bit far away from us, we can make it happen. Actually, Ezekiel wanted to make a treaty to unite our three communities. Maybe, we can make our own with Prescott and one other place. Hilltop could do the same with their radio connecting to other people and places. So that way, other communities outside of the main three can have help and help us in a way." Carol suggested.

"Then, I'm going to need you at the board meeting because I can't remember that while driving. And since Clem brought Prescott up, she can tell Ezekiel and Maggie all about it and by some miracle the idea checks out, Clem and a few others could go to Prescott and another place to connect us." Rick said.

"Sounds great." Daryl said.

"Thank you Rick, for everything. Alexandria was a great place and we are going to make a New Alexandria. Everything is gonna work out." Michonne smiled.

We pull up at the Settlement and it's almost sundown. I see the guards open the gates and wave at us. We make it in and I hope out of the Jeep and I see my goofball in the distance.

"AJ!" I yell out to him. "Clem!" He rushes over to me. I get down on one knee and he jumps into my arms and I hold him tight.

"Miss me?" I asked him. "So much!" He said. "Come on, I have something to show you." He takes my hand and runs towards a cabin. "Look, we gotten our cabin ready. You, me, Javi, Jane, Gabe, and Molly are staying here. And before we settled in they had passed out apples." AJ said excitedly.

I step into the cabin and see everyone. Javi threw me an apple and put my bag down. I threw myself onto the small couch and ate my greatest pleasure.

After that, I was tired and shared a bed with AJ and Disco Broccoli. I sang AJ to sleep. I closed my eyes and slept deeply.
