6 years ago 15 year old Nialla's POV

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I still can't believe your moving to Brighton, Alfie." He's moving his bags into grandfather's old pickup truck which is now his pickup truck. "Well it's not exactly like I WANT to leave, Nialla." He replies. We have been best friends since we were babies. He's now 16 and I'm 15. Tomorrow he is leaving London to go to Brighton. Forever. "Look. It's getting in dark so let's go inside." I suggest. "Sure." We go inside Alfie's house and watch Netflix all night.

Next day

"Will you remember me?" "I wouldn't forget you for the world Ni." It seems like a dream, but all I can hear is his voice and my own heartbeat. We lean forward in unision and had the best kiss ever. It lasted forever. Violins played in my head and it was magical. All of the sudden his bratty sister poppy snatched his arm and dragged him into the car. "Let's GO." She snarled. "Bye Alf!" I yelled after him. 54 miles away from my best friend. On bike.

I wake up and relies the kiss was a dream. I can't believe I dreamed about KISSING Alfie. What's wrong with me? I rolled out of my bed and tweeted my eyes open. I was still in my pjs when I dragged myself downstairs for breakfast. I could smell my mum making waffles as I walked into the kitchen. "Up finally? Alfie's family left 3 hours ago." Said my mum. "WHAT!? How could I have missed saying goodbye!?" "You snooze you lose, champ!" My dad said jogging into the kitchen. He is a personal trainer but better known for being a personal nut. "Got any gluten free, dairy free, low-calory, fat free, sugar free, flax oil, health boost, all natural waffles?" He asks mum. "No, Christopher! We don't have any of you special health waffles." My mom sighed.

I just walk out of the kitchen and walk back upstairs to think about what I've done to Alfie. It will be my life goal to save up money (we aren't exactly rich) to go visit Alfie someday.
