I stepped through the end section of the very well organized security check. I was okay, at least there was no trouble this time. I kept walking until I got to this big screen, full of information about over twenty different planes. I found my flight, to Malmo Sturup, and found there were over two hours left until my gate would be opened. Great, I sighed, what to do now? I had been visiting my dear friend Sara in London over the weekend and was on my way home to Sweden. My shoes squeaked against the floor as I walked into the huge store-part of the airport. It was full of glitter and Christmas decorations, even though it was barely November. They were already preparing everywhere in England, I had seen Christmas decorations and clothes and stuff in a lot of places in London the whole weekend. It was as if the whole country was counting the days. The black, shiny tile floor looked just like the night sky, the glitter looking like stars, and I was mesmerized by the size of the room. It was full of different make up brands, candy and liquor. Sales persons were standing by desks every fifth meter, almost. I went right to the candy section because c'mon, who doesn't love candy? I looked for M&M's; I was craving them so bad. To get a better view of the shelves, I backed a few steps, but unfortunately there was someone standing behind me. I couldn't see the person, but I knew that I was squeezing him or her in between my backpack and a stack of Toblerone. Oh god was I awkward. I tried to get away from there but since I'm not very smooth in general I just made it all worse. I could hear the person behind me groan loudly and finally I could back away.
"Oh god I'm so sorry!" I half said half shouted awkwardly as I stepped away and looked at the person for the first time.
"No, no it's fine, I guess." said the guy standing right in front of me. He was tall, but not that "wow" tall. His dark hair was messily styled right upwards. He smiled politely at me and I could see a bit of an amused look on his face. Was he laughing at my clumsiness? He was wearing a plain grey tee under his thin dark blue jacket, which was open. He wasn't that typical hot gut that every girl fell head over heels in love with, he wasn't even very good looking. There was just something about him that made me take a second look. I smiled a bit unsurely, preparing to leave, but then I noticed the M&M bag he was holding. I guess I stared at them for a little too long, because he grinned widely, clearly amused, at me.
"Over there." He said and pointed to my left, and there I saw them, the M&M's. It was like I was introduced to heaven. No it wasn't really; I just craved M&M's very bad.
"Thanks." I said awkwardly, slightly smiling before I turned around to get them.

He wasn't there when I started walking towards the cashier. I slightly wondered where he had gone, but it was none of my business, and I didn't actually care anyway. I was just so bored. I paid for my candy and walked away slowly. I stopped, leaning against a wall and started digging through my backpack for my ear pods. I put them in my ears and pressed shuffle play. Rockstar by A Great Big World came on. I picked up my backpack from the floor before I started walking slowly through the rest of the big hall, in my own world, with my hands holding the straps of my backpack. I shot glances at a few things, but nothing really caught my attention. I only cared about the music and my own thoughts, which actually weren't that interesting. I kept walking until I reached another hall. It was filled with people sitting in chairs, waiting to be called to gates. Regular people called it a waiting hall, but that word hadn't crossed my mind at all. My general knowledge was just great, I thought to myself and felt the urge to give myself two thumbs up but I didn't want to seem like some psychotic freak in front of all these people. Not that anyone was paying any attention to little me, anyway. All around the hall were restaurants and coffee shops. I searched for a free seat and found one a bit further away. I went there and sat down on an empty seat. I paused my music and picked up the book I was currently reading, "The Long Walk" by Stephen King. It was an okay book. Even though the story was brilliant, I completely loved it, the book was pretty slow. A bit too slow for my liking, but I simply couldn't start a book and not finish it. I just couldn't, so I didn't. And the story was completely brilliant. I read a couple of chapters, without looking up from the book. Then I felt, saw and heard someone sitting down in the seat beside me. I turned my head to my right and met a pair of dark blue eyes. It was the guy from before, the M&M guy. I turned my head away and laughed quietly at the ridiculous nickname I had come up with. Actually I laughed at myself in general because I was so ridiculously awkward and weird.
"What's so funny?" he asked and I just shrugged.
"Just something I thought of." I said casually and he nodded. I went back to reading my book, but I had a hard time to focus on understanding what I read. His presence disturbed me and I could feel him watching me read. Which was weird.
