Piper's POV

I decide to stay at the studio. The team doesn't have to suffer from my love life fails. It's time for me to grow as a person or as a dancer.
As I finish my warm-up, Emily enters the room and stands at the front. We gather around her. It's been a long time since we last had a rehearsal with her.
- Ok, everyone! - Emily says. - Today we're holding duet auditions for nationals.
Everyone is excited. I'm kind of nervous but I guess I just have to try to stay calm.
- In order to pair people, we're going to use this app we used last year. So answer the questions and you'll be paired up with the person you're more compatible with.
Ok. I just hope I don't get paired with Finn or Amy. Hopefully I'll get to work with Richelle or Summer... even Kenzie would be nice! I never got to know her that much. As I finish my quizz, I take a look around. Everyone seem to be so focused on their quizzes. They're so silent. This reminds me of last year when Jacquie and Noah were here too. I wish they were here now. It kind of feels a little empty since they left.
Anyway, everyone finish their quizzes and Emily looks at her phone. It takes a few seconds till she can see the results so we just wait.
- Ok, I've got them. I will say the name of the couples and you can start the work. The first one is Kenzie and Summer.
The girls look at each other and smile. Summer seems a bit surprised though. I think she was hoping to work with Henry.
- Lilly and Kingston. - Oh, I definitely didn't see that coming. 😏
- Amy and Richelle. - Amy seems surprised too. I can tell she was expecting to audition with Finn.
- Ozzy and Heath - Wait, this means only Henry, Cleo, Finn and I are left.
- Finn and Piper.

Cool. COOL.
- That leaves Henry and Cleo to work together.
I'm pretty sure that app was broken. There's NO WAY Henry and Cleo are compatible. Anyway. I've got something bigger to worry about.

Finn's POV

I get to work with Piper and I can't hide it. I am happy about that. Happy in a painful way. I see this as an opportunity to talk to her and maybe apologize for my behavior the other day.
I walk to her as she looks at me. I can see resignation in her face. I remember the days when working together was something we loved and looked forward to. Don't get me wrong. I still do. But obviously she doesn't.
- Should we go to studio 1? - I ask.
- Yes - She says and starts walking. I follow her as always. As I'll always do.
