                                                        You're your own biggest fear..

The journey from the car to the tree line takes only a second with the elongated steps of the stranger carrying me.  He sets me down on my feet but keeps one of his arms wrapped around my waist pushing rather hard into my stomach causing the little bit of space I wish existed between us to become extinct.

"We are here, Love."  His husky voice says from behind me, sending a chill throughout my already cold body.

I look around and struggle to make anything out.  I can faintly see the outlines of massive trees that make the forest complete, blocking out the full moon entirely. I can't feel any part of  my body.  It is entirely in shock and even the cold air whipping around us isn't felt by any part of me.  I bite down on the inside of my bottom lip to stifle back my tears.

The stranger whistles a low tune, and almost instantaneously a group of black figures emerge from all directions.  I gulp and close my eyes.  Maybe this is all a dream and I will wake up.

C'mon, Jamie. Wake up! This isn't real! I yell at myself.  When I open my eyes there is a dark hooded firgure bent over in front of me, inches away from my face.  I scream, and out of reaction turn around and bury my face in the stranger who kidnapped me's chest.  The sobs are uncontrollable and I can faintly make out the chuckle of the person who just scared the shit out of me.

My kidnapper's grip loosens incredibly as I feel another set of hands on my waist tugging rather harshly.  I stumble backwards and hit the ground with a thud.  The new stranger who pulled me back is hovering over me, but I refuse to look up.  I become strangely occupied with the way my heels still faintly glisten dispite the lack of light.

A rush of heat strikes my back as I yelp and leap up covering my face with my hands.  Now that the small fire in the middle of the clearing has provided some sort of light source, I try to make a dash through a clearing of the group that sparsely lines the tree line, but what I assume to be the same hands that pulled me back before do the same, yet this time I don't fall on the ground.  My fall is cushioned by someone below me who fell with a grunt.

I kick as hard as I can and attempt to dig my heel into his shin to loosen his grip.  He moans in pain but does the opposite of loosening his grip and nearly pushes all the air out of my lungs.

"Hard to pick a fiesty one, didn't you, Wells?"  The man below me says with a voice much more intimidating than my original holder who I assume to be Wells.

"I didn't think she would be.  She just left her boyfriend.  If anything I thought she would be desperate for a rebound."

I huff.  No one would ever replace Carson no matter how much wrong he has done me.

I still try to kick with what little bit of energy I have left.  The adrenaline pulsing through my body slowly dissipating. I can't even muster up the energy to scream. My vision slowly starts tunneling and my hearing does the same.  In and out of consciousness.

I have to stay together.  I can't pass out. Not here.  Pull it together, Jamie.

I open my eyes, and come face to face with deep jade eyes. None like I have ever seen before.  I could imagine the stories that were hidden behind them.  Hurt being prominently promoted.

"Parker! Take the girl!" The voice below me booms, as the person staring at me slowly picks me up by my waist.  My limp body hangs down like a rag doll, mouth gasping for what little air I can pull in without wanting to scream.
