chap 1

'here I am, yet another day at our cities fineness church, where the people come in one and unleash their faith and loyalty to god.

unless you're me.
I'm jung hoseok, also known as the church boy who has to follow every word or order given by his parents. yes, im a church boy who's loyal but I just have a huge secret kept from my parents, and that secret is that I'm bisexual.

I found this out about a year ago and never told anyone, well except for my cousin and my best friend , jeon jungkook who also happens to be gay, but auntie didn't agree with him so he ended up being kicked out and live with his boyfriend who I find funny. And my best friend kim seokjin who is secretly gay and has to hide his secret as well.

but this isn't about my cousin or my best friend! this journal is all about me being myself and being bi-'

"hoseok honey? we're about to head to the other room for bible study! oh wow is that the journal i got for your birthday?"

hoseok quickly closes his journal, holding it close to his chest. "ah yes it is! I've been using it since my birthday party yesterday mother." hoseok giggles out, having a small sigh in relief.

"oh I see! and that is a private journal okay? Never show it to anyone my precious son!" hoseok nods as his mother walks into the next room for bible study.

"gosh that was a close one" he sighs out, placing his journal back into his bag.
"definitely a close one hobi-ah"
hoseok jumps, turning around just to see his best friend, seokjin.
"damnit Jin! you scared me"
"pfft my bad? anyways are you really gonna go to the next room for bible study? I honestly just want to sneak out of here and go to a diner or something" Jin smiles daydreaming of all the food he could eat.
"haha id want that too but you know how strict my parents are about church.." hoseok whispers to Jin "and they don't know how the teenagers life works nowadays either so it's tough to really do anything like that" Jin nods understanding.
"yeah I get you man. my dad doesn't like me hanging out like a ordinary teen too, ugh I will throw a pillow at his face"
hoseok and Jin share a few laughs and catch up since they haven't talked since spring break started.

"hoseok honey! bible study ended and you didn't even- oh hi seokjin!" hoseoks mother says as her husband follows.
"hello mr. and mrs. jung! how are you two doing?" instantly Jin puts on the good church boy act.
"We're doing great! we're actually about to head home for lunch." hoseok nods as him a seokjin exchange looks.
"why didn't you come to bible study hoseok?"
"oh me and Jin we're catching up mother! I haven't seen my best friend in a while!"
hoseok prays get doesnt get in trouble.
"oh okay that's understandable honey! don't worry" he lets out a sigh of relief and stands up, putting his bag on his shoulder.

"bye Jin I'll call you later!" jin waves bye to hoseok and his parents as they get into the car heading back home.

"we're home!" hoseok father pulls the car into the garage and everyone quickly steps out of the car, getting into the house.
"well I'll go take a shower now! it's starting to get hot outside" hoseoks mother and father nod.
"agreed spring looks beautiful but it gets pretty hot" hoseoks mother says giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"go take a shower now before lunch! and you can help me bake cookies for the new neighbors!"
hoseok stops dead in his tracks. "neighbors?"

"oh yes! we are going to have new neighbors living next door hoseok. I actually have talked to the couple before when I bumped into them at the super market, and I found out they have a son around your age!"
hoseoks mother nods at his father and looks back at hoseok
"isn't that exciting! yay a new friend!"
hoseok nods, a bit unsettled knowing a new family along with a son around his age are going to be living next door.

he goes upstairs and starts his shower.
'I wonder if the son is cool? ohh I hope they don't go to church or is a church kid omgomgomg' he sighs thinking about it until he hears his phone ringing.
he looks out the shower curtain to see the caller ID.
"why does jungkook always call when im in the shower.." hoseok groans quickly finishing up his shower, getting out and putting the towel around his lower half answer the phone.

"hey kookie what's up?"
"nothing much im honestly just bored out of my mind! tae is gone at his office and im stuck in the apartment!"
hoseok laughs at his little cousins boredom.
"maybe me, you, and jin can all meet up at a diner to have some fun? jin wanted to go during church but you know..parents got in the way"
jungkook sighs through the phone,
"yeah i get you man but that's not too bad of a idea! do you have anything else going on over there?"
hoseok walks out of his bathroom, sitting on the edge of his bed.
"hmm oh wait we have new neighbors moving in today and i have to help my mom back cookies for them ugh"
hoseok rolls his eyes, forgetting about the promise he made with his mother
"well how about you make a excuse up? like 'oh gosh jin hyung needs help with his bible reading' i think that'll work"
hoseok sighs laying down on his bed, repeating the idea in his head he sits up.

"yeah i guess that will work i hope ill go do it now honestly"
jungkook chuckles through the phone
"okay bet! then ill be waiting at my apartment come by and get me when you have jin and we'll hang out!"
"okay okay i will, bye kookie"
he hangs up and changes into his clothes that surprisingly his parents are fine with, a white oversized tshirt with shorts that stop to his mid thighs. "hm maybe a hat?"
he adds a cap to his head, adding accessories and getting his house keys, placing the lanyard in his pocket leaving it out to dangle. afterwards he rushes downstairs

"hey mother father! jin needs help with bible reading and he just called me about it is it okay if i help him out with it?"
His mother looks up from her cookbook, looking at hoseok.
"awh but we were going to make cookies son, but that sounds important, so you can go ahead and take your fathers car. i won't tell him you did don't worry."

hoseok laughs quietly, putting on his shoes in the process and grabbing his fathers keys.
"okay thanks mother, bye!"
he walks out of the house, locking the front door which leads to the porch until he notices a big u-haul truck in front of the house next to his.

hoseok looks over to see a man and another boy with dark black hair. captured by this boys looks, hoseok sits at the little table on his porch pretending to browse on his phone.

he then hears this boys voice. "is that the last box dad?!" hoseok giggles lightly
"nope!!" and he sees the boy get handed another box until he feels hoseoks eyes on him.

the boy turns towards hoseoks house and makes eye contact with hoseok.
at this point, hoseok froze.
'he's looking at me..what do I do-'
hoseok politely waves with his heart shaped smile, and surprisingly the boy smiles slightly and waves back and the boys father happens to notice.

"oh hi! we're the mins! you must be mr. jungs kid huh?"
hoseok nods and decides to walk over to their truck standing in front of this boys father. "yes im his son, im jung hoseok, and i hope you enjoy this neighborhood!"

"well someone has manners! im mr.min and this is my son, come here and introduce yourself." hoseok looks at the boy who was staring at him, slowly stands in front of him.

"hi im min yoongi, it's nice to meet you jung"
"oh you can call me hoseok, im with that"
yoongi smiles softly and nods

'oh he's cute..'
