Izuku was just swimming along the currents, gliding along with his shiny green tail, in sync with the water. Then a flurry of orange suddenly pushed past him leaving a trail of bubbles behind, Izuku choked on the tiny air bubbles that flooded into his gills so quickly.

The orange figure seemed to return back to Izuku when he finished his coughing fit. "Come on Deku, isnt the oxygen from the bubbles supposed to HELP instead of kill you?" Izuku finally recognized the mysterious figure. "Kacchan? Kacchan! You made too many! Why do you always try to make me choke?!" Izuku gave his friend/crush/rival a glare.

"Hey! Not my fault you're still weak. Will you go on and master your power already?! Its taking too damn long!" Katsuki twirled above Izuku swimming on his backside with his arms supporting his head. He loved being in that position in a current, it was calming.

Izuku looked above him and stared at Katsuki's beautiful scales shining from the wavy, blurry light above. He blushed lightly as Katsuki closed his eyes, enjoying the light's glow. "W-well, I was kinda hoping you would h-help me?" Izuku faced down towards the dark sea below where Mers usually resided to avoid humans.

"How the hell would I do that? Isn't All Might helping you out?" Katsuki lowered his tail to smack Izuku's fin lightly from the 'stupid' question. "Yes he is, but I would like extra training...it would really help me with my combat skills since you're so amazing." Katsuki stayed silent for a bit above him. "Uh, UH I mean! Uhm, I mean you're amazing at c-combat." Izuku curled his tail up to his face with his hands in embarrassment.

Katsuki sighed like he was slightly disappointed and then flipped around from his resting position and took Izuku's arm. "If you tell anyone about this, ESPECIALLY that blabber mouth Piranha Mer with the weird red hair from the fresh water pools, I will be the one to erase you! Got it, nerd??" Izuku nodded happily and Katsuki scoffed.

Katsuki pulled Izuku out from the current steadily, making sure that Izuku's fins wouldn't be damaged. "Alright, listen up nerd because I'm only going to say this once!" Izuku immediately straightened up his entire body to listen carefully. Katsuki smiled mischeviously, and Izuku blushed a little and loosened his stance. Katsuki then immediately pulled down on Izuku's arm bringing him close to his face.

"Don't let your guard down Deku, you never know when I will strike~" Izuku's face turned completely red and he pushed Katsuki with force across the water. "Hah, make sure you don't look down on me during this Deku. I'm just making sure I won't destroy you before we can actually fight!"

"I've never looked down on you Kacchan! You know that by now don't you?" Izuku prepared himself for Katsuki's next possible attack. Katsuki rolled his eyes a cracked his knuckles together and stretched out his orange tail tipped with red and blacks.

Katsuki then smiled his usual smile when he would fight an opponent and bolted towards Izuku.

*3 hours later*

Both mers were huffing loudly. "Kacchan, I think...I think that's enough for today." Izuku began to swim down into the pitch black ocean below. "Wait. Look." Katsuki swam in front of Izuku and turned him to look at the surface.

"Its the other light, we should go up there to see what it looks like." Katsuki said, his eyes filled with curiosity. Izuku stared up above for a bit and shook his head. "We can't, we're not allowed to look at the surface until we're in our 20's. Kacchan, we really should go back-
KACCHAN?!

Katsuki has already bolted upwards with warm bubbles up behind him. Izuku used his power, lighting up his fins with some green bolts circling his tail and upper body, to catch up with him.

"Kacchan no! We can't! We'll get in trouble!" Katsuki stopped suddenly and Izuku ran into him, he rubbed his nose from the impact. "Ow! Kacc-" Izuku was flipped upwards by Katsuki's hands. "Hah! I told you not to let your guard down nerd!" Katsuki grabbed Izuku by the shoulders and started to push him up to the surface.

"No! Kacchan let go!!" Izuku started thrashing about, trying to get out of Katsuki's grasp. He failed and he just shut his eyes tightly, waiting for any type of physical consequence for them not being the right age. Izuku then felt a cool breeze hit his face and his gills felt happy and full of fresh oxygen.

"Hm, open your eyes Deku. Its fine." Huh? Izuku thought. Izuku slowly opened his eyes to a beautiful ball of light, with trillions of smaller and dimmer versions spreading all around it. "Wow, it's beautiful. Why did they want us to stay away from this?" Izuku subconsciously swam closer to Katsuki to watch the view before them. "Hell if I know. Maybe because of humans. They're basically the whole reason we always have to travel every few months. We also have to worry about those bastard League Of Sharks as well." Katsuki pinched his brows together in annoyance.

He then looked at Izuku, who was slowly inching closer but was still facing the light. Katsuki examined Izuku's expression carefully incase he was reading the mood wrong. He eventually just let his instincts take over.

He maneuvered behind Izuku and held his back towards his chest while wrapping his arms around Izuku's torso. Izuku gave a small gasp at the exchange and then he fell back, accepting Katsuki's embrace.

Katsuki blushed and placed his chin on Izuku's shoulder. "This is your fault, Deku." Katsuki hummed quietly. "Hmm? What do you mean..?" Izuku turned his head a little to the cuddly Katsuki. "Its just your fault." Katsuki then dug his face into the crook of Izuku's neck.

Izuku then understood. He blushed madly but he didn't move, he just felt a wave of relief and warmth even in the cool air and the even colder ocean. "I like you too, Kacchan." Katsuki nuzzled and squeezed Izuku tighter.

They both eventually swam back down. Hand in hand, agreeing to keep them going to the surface thing a secret. And started something new the next day.
