it starts out like this: see jeongguk is handsome, talkative, and an all around social butterfly, so it's normal for him to be at a frat party at 1AM playing beer pong like the party animal he is.

what's not normal is losing.

but how can he possibly win when all his attention is on the petit boy on the other side of the room, the one with the midnight black hair, pale vanilla skin, and pink pouty lips.

jeongguk loses again.

"gguk, are you alright, the balll could've flown up your ass and you wouldn't have noticed." taehyung voices, wrapping his hand around the addressed. jeongguk rolls his eyes- well to the best of his abilities, he's drunk as hell- he subtly points to yoongi.

"who's that guy?" jeongguk slurs, taehyung suddenly has a knowing smirk on, the raven haired doesn't like that. taehyung unwraps his arm and...grins.

"oh i see what's happening," no you don't, is what jeongguk wants to say, but he's sure it'll come out as gibberish."that'ts min yoongi, pretty cute right?" cute was an understatement, jeongguk doesn't think he's ever met someone as attractive. taehyung continues despite getting a reply.

"you can't date him though, apparently lots of people have tried but he declines every time. people say he's either got a partner, or aromantic." jeongguk frowns at that. but wait, just because he can't get romantically involved with him doesn't mean he can't get platonically involved.

and that's how jeongguk wobbles his way to yoongi, taehyung pulls out his phone to record it because jeongguk waddles like a penguin when he's drunk.

yoongi's not facing him so jeongguk tentatively taps his shoulder to get his attention. it works, except yoongi is even prettier in person and jeongguk doesn't know how to function.

"h-hi?" it shouldn't be a question, but that's what it comes out as. yoongi stares at him, it's like he searching- no calculating what's about to happen next. jeongguk realizes he's probably not the first to approach him like this.

"hi." yoongi blushes as he says this, although he looks rather disinterested. jeongguk panics as yoongi waits expectantly- most likely for a reason as to why jeongguk's approached him.
