Leora
Tomorrow is my 18th birthday but, I Am uncertain if I'm 18 or not, my mom found me in an abandoned ally, I guess I was 13. I Can't remember Where I came from nor do I recall my name!
I have always had grudge over my actual parents because I've repeatedly thought they left me all alone in the ally to die. Luckily mom found me and later adopted me and looked upon me as her own.
"Leora!, dinners ready!!,"
well, that's my mom, better get going.
.............
I wonder how mom found me in the ally. It might help me regain my memories at least.
"mom, how did you find me?"
"Why are you asking about that?" mom replied, confused.
"I'm just curious,"
"I went in the abandoned for fun and found you there all alone, you were glowing as bright as the moon and had a special aura around you,"
"glowing?"
"I found that strange too. But the light stopped a few moments later. Your body was covered with wounds, so I helped out of kindness. But later found out you lost your memory and was deserted in the ally, so I adopted you,"
"ooh ok then," I replied, unsatisfied.
It's strange how she spotted me glowing in an abandoned ally. I want to find my parents and know the reason they left me in the ally all alone, someday.
"mom, is my actual name Leora?"
"well, u had a bracelet with Ora carved on it and the other letters were not clear so I kept your name, Leora as I found you glowing, and Leora means light"
"thank you for adopting me mom, I am grateful to meet you"
I rushed to finish my food and headed back to my room.
"where did I keep it," I asked myself, observing my entire room.
then it hit my mind,
"of-course it is in the box!!!
