Being a woman is being a real-life puppet

We live a life with hands attached to the strings of standards

Eyes blinded to see only the fragile side

Mouth covered to avoid spilling the truth

Ears taught to hear only what they established as good

In this oppressive and feudalistic patriarchal society

Women are treated to be a merely price for marriage

Simply waiting for someone to save you won't untangle the shackles of abusive authority

I may be a damsel in distress

But cliche as it may seem; I do not need saving because I believe,

I am my own knight-in-shining armor

This is my oath for truth, equality and justice

We shall rise again, my love.
